Takako Shimizu (清水 貴子, Shimizu Takako) is a Japanese animator credited for her work on the TV adaptation of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure by David Production. She was the chief animation director and character designer for the first season.
Shimizu is most notable for being a veteran "rotation animation director" who has worked on series like Samurai Champloo, Hell Girl, Higurashi When They Cry and Nobunaga the Fool. Her illustrations are often described by others as very masculine. Her husband, Noriyuki Akita, works at David Production and was cited as the production desk for season one.[1]
