The
Nendoroid (ねんどろいど, nendoroido) series is a brand of figures created by the Japanese
Good Smile Company in 2006, with the
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure line being manufactured by
Medicos Entertainment. They typically depict characters from various anime, manga or video games designed in a chibi or super deformed style, with a large head and smaller body. Composed of ABS and PVC, they can be posed in many ways and are often used as collector's items or toys. Each figure has three facial expressions, a plastic stand and various character-related accessories.
Package Design
Giorno Giovanna's Nendoroid figure, posed next to it's box
The packaging for the "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" line of Nendoroids generally follows the standard template that most Nendoroids follow, such as having a front box window, suggested poses on every side of the box, and the series logo and figure manufacturer's logo on the front of the box. However, several distinct aspects are unique to the "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure" line. The boxes' front, top, and bottom are white, featuring several iconic onomatopoeiae from the series embossed into them. The sides and back of each box are generally a single color and feature a repeating embossed pattern, which differs depending on the part the character is from:
- Boxes for characters from Phantom Blood can have one of two box designs. The box for Jonathan Joestar has a harlequin pattern with a star at the center of each diamond, while the box for Dio Brando features a different harlequin pattern with a rose at the center of each diamond.
- Boxes for characters from Battle Tendency have a repeating pattern featuring the Red Stone of Aja and Caesar Zeppeli's bandanna.
- Boxes for characters from Stardust Crusaders have a simple repeating harlequin pattern.
- Boxes for characters from Diamond is Unbreakable feature a repeating harlequin pattern, with either a heart symbol or the emblem of Morioh at the center of each diamond.
- Boxes for characters from Golden Wind feature a similar repeating harlequin pattern, made up of repeating horizontal, vertical, and diagonal lines. One of Giorno Giovanna's ladybug brooches, or the head of a Stand Arrow, is at the center of each diamond.
- Boxes for characters from Stone Ocean can have one of two box designs. The boxes for most characters feature a repeating spiderweb pattern, with the tattoo on Jolyne Cujoh's left arm featured at the center of each hexagonal spiderweb. The box for Enrico Pucci references Whitesnake, and features a repeating pattern of horizontal stripes with "CTGΔ written on them, and a DISC between each instance of it.

Trivia
- Upon release, the Nendoroid for DIO featured a defect where the faceplates included lacked the 3 moles on DIO's left ear. Good Smile Company and Medicos Entertainment promptly apologized and began sending corrected replacements to those who contacted their customer support departments.[29]
