Kentaro Tokiwa (常盤 健太郎, Tokiwa Kentarō) is a Japanese animator credited for his work on the TV adaptation of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure by David Production. Tokiwa was an animation director for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders.

Originally from Studio AD Cosmo, Tokiwa currently works freelance on various shows like Heaven's Lost Property, Hayate the Combat Butler and Keijo.

Biography

Kentaro Tokiwa has animated on several different series, starting with episodes 2, 7, and 16 of Samurai Champloo in 2004. Other series that he has worked on include Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Gintama, Zombie Land Saga, and Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War.[1]

Controversy

The animator was involved in a controversy on January 8, 2015 for asking people on Twitter to support the JoJo series, stating that David Production "couldn't make Part 4 and Part 5 if no one buys the blu-rays." The tweet included mock-up designs for characters in Vento Aureo. His Twitter account (@K_Jovinny) was deleted a few days later on January 13.[2]
