Controversy

On September 17, 2019, Ashiya wrote a thread on Twitter claiming that he hadn't been paid for his work on the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind anime despite the final episode having aired over two months prior.[4] He later made a Tweet reporting that, although the matter had not been fully resolved yet, he was able to get in touch with the producer and finally received payment for his work. However, because of the controversy surrounding his statement, Ashiya worried that he might not be allowed to participate in future JoJo-related productions. Ashiya also mentioned that he had already not been invited to work on the next Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan project which was already underway.[5]
