Ken Arto (アルト 健, Aruto Ken) is a French-Japanese animator credited for his work on the TV adaptation of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, particularly as a key animator for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind.

Ken Arto is currently an animator at Studio 4°C. He has worked on series and movies such as Deca-Dence, Jujutsu Kaisen, Dragon Ball Super: Broly, My Hero Academia, Megalo Box and Demon Slayer: Mugen Train.

Biography

Ken Arto was born from a French father and a Japanese mother. During his youth he had a casual interest in animated series and developed a passion for drawing. He orientated his studies towards animation and graduated from the Academy of Clermont-Ferrand in artistic trades. During his studies, Ken Arto completed an internship at Telecom Animation Film as an inbetweener in 2011. He also studied at the École des métiers du cinéma d'animation. In 2014, he completed a second internship at Satelight.[3]

Ken Arto subsequently started his career and took his first job at Studio Graphinica as an in-betweener and finish animator on series such as "Battle Spirits Double Drive", Cute High Earth Defense Club Love!, Napping Princess or Pikaia!. He also worked as a freelance key animator for series and movies Deca-Dence, City Hunter: Shinjuku Private Eye, Dragon Ball Super: Broly, or My Hero Academia.

Arto joined Yapiko Animation in 2017, and then transferred to Studio 4°C in 2019.[4][5] In 2020, Arto worked as a key animator on Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Infinity Train.[6]
