Masanori Shino (筱 雅律, Shino Masanori) is a Japanese animator credited as the chief animation director and character designer for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean by David Production.
Shino is a veteran animation director and character designer born in Nagareyama, Chiba, Japan. As a rookie animator, he joined Studio Biboo in 1983 where he worked on various mecha-related series like Mobile Suit Gundam.[2] He eventually left Biboo to join Studio Gig alongside fellow industry veterans Shinichiro Minami and Masahiro Yamane.
Nowadays, Shino is well-known for his character designs in numerous animated series like Black Lagoon, Gungrave, No Guns Life, Hunter × Hunter: The Last Mission, and Terra Formars. He is also notable for his idiosyncratic mech designs in shows like Brain Powerd and After War Gundam X. The package art for various Gundam models in the HGUC series are also drawn by Shino.[3]
