GrandGuerrilla is a Polish animator credited for his work on the TV adaptation of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure by David Production. He worked as a chief animation director and second key animator for the fifth season, Stone Ocean.[1]

Other series GrandGuerrilla has worked on are Chainsaw Man, One Piece, Urusei Yatsura, UniteUp!, Dead Mount Death Play, and Undead Unluck.

Biography

GrandGuerrilla was born in Poland. He had been drawing since childhood, originally drawing recreations of objects in front of him.[1] He believes that this older hobby might have been one of the reasons he wanted to work on JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: The Animation. In addition, GrandGuerilla also enjoys acting, singing, directing, comics and more.

Originally wanting to focus on making a breakthrough with his personal art, he switched focus in recent years to drawing more anime and manga inspired art, eventually leading to his work on the Stone Ocean anime.[1]

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure

Prior to watching JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, GrandGuerrilla wasn't a fan of anime. However, during a school trip in 2017, a close friend showed him the first few episodes of Phantom Blood. Being amazed by it and wanting to know more, he caught up to the anime and moved on to read the manga. He holds Phantom Blood in a special place in his heart and Jonathan Joestar is his favorite JoJo to draw.

In 2022, GrandGuerrilla was contacted by a production assistant from RA Craft, an anime production studio that previously worked on Episode 23 of Stone Ocean. Despite having no former experience in the anime industry, the production assistant offered GrandGuerrilla a working position on Episode 34 of Stone Ocean.[1] After successfully upholding and even surpassing the expected quality in his work, GrandGuerrilla was promoted to Chief Animation Director for the episode, becoming the first non-Japanese Chief Animation Director to work on the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure anime.
