Daisuke Hasegawa (ハセガワ ダイスケ) is a Japanese singer-songwriter and performer, usually playing electric guitar or choral singing. He performed "Great Days", the 3rd opening for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable, alongside Karen Aoki, and has also performed the 2nd opening for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, "Uragirimono no Requiem". Daisuke also does vocals for various music in the Diamond is Unbreakable and Golden Wind soundtracks.

Biography

Early life

Daisuke Hasegawa was born in Kanagawa Prefecture located in Kantō region of Japan. He was interested in music since childhood, and got his own guitar in junior high school. He wrote his own songs and compositions for the first time in his second year of junior high school (8th grade). As a high school student, he participated in the "Sounds of JOY Gospel Choir" in Machida, Tokyo.[1]

Professional work

After graduating, he went to Texas, USA for one year and studied English. Being good at arranging chorus, he participates as chorus in many soundtracks for dramas, movies, anime, news, and video games.

In August 2014, he became recognized with his solo vocalist debut in "G no Senkou", the ending theme of Gundam Reconguista in G.[1]

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure

In 2015, Daisuke played the electric guitar in songs featured in the Stardust Crusaders 「World」Original Soundtrack and Stardust Crusaders 「Destination」Original Soundtrack.

He was later decided to sing for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable in 2016. He performed the vocals for You Are My Woman/Alex Reed in the Diamond is Unbreakable ~Good Morning Morioh Cho~ Original Soundtrack and also sang Great Days with Karen Aoki. Daisuke additionally performed the electric guitar and chorus for songs in the Diamond is Unbreakable ~Good Night Morioh Cho~ Original Soundtrack.

JO☆UNITED

On December 24, 2016, Daisuke Hasegawa returned as JO☆UNITED among Hiroaki "TOMMY" Tominaga, Coda, Jin Hashimoto, THE DU, batta, and Karen Aoki to sing Great Days -Units Ver.-, featured in the final episode of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable.

Golden Wind

In 2018 and 2019, Daisuke lends his vocal talents to the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind season. His first contribution was vocals on "canzoni preferite" from the soundtrack Golden Wind: Overture. He then performed the second opening theme song "Uragirimono no Requiem" as a solo artist. Daisuke also did the vocals for various tracks in Golden Wind: Intermezzo and Golden Wind: Finale.
