My name is Takano, and I was in charge of the BGM of GioGio's Bizarre Adventure. This work was my debut project at Capcom, so I gave it my all. As a whole, I aimed to create a theme reminiscent of a movie soundtrack, a backing section that wouldn't disturb the lines: something that wouldn't be too assertive as BGM and yet wouldn't be too quiet. Here's an explanation of each song.

Main Title:
I tried to create a tune that could describe this story in one song. I hope you can feel something like the main character Giorno's conviction.

Bucciarati:
Is he the main character? Bucciarati has a presence and number of appearances (in the game, at least) that makes you wonder. I aimed to make a song that could bring out the feeling of intimidation while including the melody of "Main Title."

Giorno:
On the stages where Giorno is the player character, I tried to keep the music to the player's advantage. In the original story, Giorno gave off the image that he could turn any crisis around.

Illuso:
Type 1 is against Fugo, Type 2 is against Abbacchio. For the melody in the latter half I wrote the cello piece playing in the opposite direction (from the end of the phrase), recorded it, and then played it backward to give the strange feeling of a mirror world. The arrangement in Type 2 paints a solid image of Abbacchio, doesn't it?

Requiem:
Even in an unwinnable situation, Bucciarati's music pushes onward with full force. So manly.

Cioccolata:
Since this stage lets the player play as Giorno for the first time in a while, I decided to create a song to cheer on my hero. Let's finish this with a Lv. 3 "Muda-muda!"

Polnareff:
I arranged the song from the Polnareff stage of the previous JoJo's Bizarre Adventure game. Since I wanted to express the sense of purpose Polnareff feels as he confronts Diavolo, prepared to die, I decided to make it like a march. Or something like that, at least? By the way, "Introduction (Demo)" is also a re-arranged song from the last game.

This time, I was writing songs based on the story of the original work, but I was very excited about it and I got the job done. I'm very happy with how it turned out, so I hope JoJo fans will like it too.

ジョジョの奇妙な冒険・黄金の旋風（かぜ）のBGMを担当しました高野です。今回の仕事、自分にとってはカプコンでのデビュー作になるので気合を入れて臨みました。全体的には映画のサントラのような作り方を目指してテーマを散りばめたり、セリフを邪魔しないようバッキングだけのセクションを作ったり、BGMとして主張し過ぎず且つひっこめ過ぎずというのを狙ってみました。それでは各曲の解説です。

◆メイン・タイトル
今回のストーリーを1曲で表せられるような曲を目指しました。主人公ジョルノの信念みたいなモノを感じて頂ければ幸いです。

◆ブチャラティ
この人が主人公なのでは？と思ってしまう程の存在感と（ゲーム中での）登場回数を誇るブチャラティ。メイン・タイトルのフレーズを入れつつ彼の威圧感みたいなものを前面に出せる曲を目指しました。

◆ジョルノ
プレイヤーキャラがジョルノのステージは、どの曲もプレイヤー有利に間こえるようにしました。原作で、どんな危機も好転させてしまうイメージがジョルノにはあったからです。

◆イルーゾォ
Type1は対フーゴで、Type2は対アバッキオです。Type1の後半のメロディーはセロの音を逆方向（フレーズの終わり）から打ち込んでサンプリングした後に逆再生させて「鏡の中の違和感」みたいなのを狙ってみました。Type2ではアバッキオの硬質なイメージでアレンジしてみましたがいかがでしょう？

◆レクイエム
勝算の低い勝負でさえも、全力で挑むブチャラティの曲です。う～ん、おっとこまえ。

◆チョコラータ
久しぶりにプレイヤーがジョルノを操作出来るステージだったので、思い切りヒーローぼく、プレイヤーを応援するような曲にしました。Lv3無駄無駄フィニッシュを決めましょう！

◆ポルナレフ
前作の格鬪ゲーム「ジョジョの奇妙な冒険」のポルナレフ・ステージの曲をアレンジして使いました。決死の覚悟でディアボロと対時すポルナレフの“使命感”みたいなモノが表現したかったのでマーチにしてみたのですが、いかかなモノでしょうか？。ちなみに「デモ：イントロダクション」も前作のアレンジ曲です。

今回、原作のストーリーに添って曲を作るという作業だったのですが、僕自身すごく楽しみなから仕事が出来ました。納得がいくものが出来たのでジョジョファンの方達にも気に入ってもらえると嬉しいです。

The one in charge of the sound effects was indeed h-ohno. In recent games, you can hear not just BGM and sound effects, but voices too. I myself didn't really feel the need for a game soundtrack at first. "You only put out a soundtrack when there's something different on it than in the Sound Test!" is what I was thinking. So I came up with the idea of recording the pre-edit vocals and letting people play them freely.

The voice tracks are taken from the master tape, with only minimal processing like noise removal performed on them. (However, those with a strong image, like the Stand activation voices and some of the enemy character voices, have been edited.) Depending on the track, some unused voices that are no longer in the game may also be recorded.

You can enjoy the differences from the voices in the game's Gallery Mode, and apply special effects freely using music software. Recently, due to the widespread use of PCs, music software has become quite commonplace, so I'd say it's worth it. I'd be happy if you could enjoy these tracks in that way. But at the end of the day, it's your choice.

The development story was a bit different this time around... Part 5 didn't have a TV anime broadcast or an OVA released, so the sound I made would end up being "the sound of Part 5." So I felt I had a lot of responsibility. The voice of each character, the BGM... Everything except the pictures (the manga) was original.

First, about the selection of voice actors. When a manga becomes a TV anime, the part that I look forward to (and which I think makes a big difference) is the character voices. This time, the main character, Giorno Giovanna, was played by a woman. Giorno is male in the manga, but the team had many "neutral" images of him, so I dared to ask a female to play the part. When I finished recording the voice and people actually heard it during development, the general opinion was very negative. But after a few weeks, their opinions went from "I'm getting used to this," to "It's not bad..." to "Is this good?" It seems like I made the right choice. Mission accomplished.

Next, the sound effects. The team's images were all over the place, and the sound effects of the enemy characters were especially terrifying. Although Sabbath's footsteps were ultimately narrowed down to four, the footsteps I prepared numbered 80 in total. There were many JoJo fans on the team, and each hit me with their own image of the "JoJo sound." ("No, give me your opinion!") It was hard work, and I ran into a lot of trouble, but I enjoyed it. I was able to make my sound incorporate my personality while putting together everyone's image. As a result, "the sound of Part 5" came into the world. I'm happy with it.

サウンド　効果音担当のh-ohnoです。最近のゲームでは、ゲーム中のBGMや効果音はもちろん、ボイスまでが聞けるようになってきました。僕自身、ゲームサンドラの必要性があまり感じられなくなっていたのも事実です。サンドラを出すからには「SOUND TEST」で聞けるものとは違うものを！と考えていました。そこで考えたのが「編集前」のボイスを収録し、自由に遊んでもらおうと。

収遊されているボイスはマスターテープから起こしなおし、ノイズ除去などの最低限の処理以外はされていません。（但しイメージ性の強いもの：スタンド発動ボイスや　敵ギャラの何人か：は編集されたものを収録しています）トラックによっては事情によりゲーム中では使われなくなった末使用ボイスも収録されています。
ゲーム本編のギャラリーモードで聞けるボイスとの違いを楽しんでもらうのも良し、音楽系ソフトを使って自由にエフェクト（特殊効果）を施して楽しんでもらうのも良し。最近はPCの普及により、音楽系のソフトも随分と身近になってきましたから、値段的に。そんな楽しみ方をしてもらえればうれしいです。あくまでも個人で私的に楽しむ範囲ですが。

話は変って開発話…今回の第五部はテレビアニメ化されているわけでもなく、OVAが発売されているわけでもなかったので、僕が作る音が「第五部の音」になるということで、責任はすごく感じていました。
各ギャラクターの声、もちろんBGMも、「絵（漫画）」以外の情報が全て「初」であったと思います。まずは声優さん選出について。漫画がテレビアニメ化になる時にー番気になる（違いが大きく出る）部分はキャラクターの「声」だと思います。今回、主人公ジョルノ・ジョバァーナを担当してもらったのは女性の方です。漫画の中でジョルノの性は男ですが、チーム内の意見では「中性」というイメージが多くあったので敢えて女性の方にお願いいたしました。ボイス収録を終え、実際に開発の現場でボイスが聞こえ出すと周りは賛否両論というか「否」ばかりでした。でも数週間も経てば、周りの意見は変化していき「慣れてきた」→「悪くないかも」→「イイのでは？」となっていきました。正解だったようで。作戦成功。
次に効果音に対してですが。チーム内のイメージはバラバラで、特に敵キャラの効果音については凄まじいものでした。サバスの足音に至っては最終的には4種類に絞られたものの、僕が用意した足音は総数80音にものぼりました。チーム内にもジョジョ好きの方が何人もおられ、みなさんそれぞれの「ジョジョ音」のイメージを僕にぶつけて（いや、意見をだして）くれたので、苦労もありましたが楽しんで音を作ることができました。みんなのイメージをまとめながら僕の個性を組みこみ、僕の音にする。それが結果的に「第五部」の音となって世に出る。嬉しい限りです。

みなさんのイメージとは合っていましたか？ジョルノの声、さばすの足音、ゴゴゴ、ドギャン！などの描き文字の音…今度は「音」に注目してプレイしてみてください、新たなる「ジョジョワールド」が発見できるかもしれませんよ。それでは。

I wrote that last part because I thought it would fit in the liner notes, but for some reason it seems to single me out as a total newcomer. Of course, I'm honored to love the soundtrack of a game I actually worked on this time, but is that okay? I don't know? Hmm.

So from the planning side. How was the game? Even in 3D, it's still a proper JoJo game, right? Artistoon's amazing, isn't it? As a JoJo fan, I also had the urge to say "Di molto grazie!" when I saw it. In this game, the characters speak long lines during battle. There are quite a few of them, actually, and the dialogue is different between Super Story and Another Story. In addition, the dialogue changes based on the situation (the enemy's health, etc.) during battle. I couldn't fit it onto the soundtrack, but please listen to it while you're playing the game. If you're a fan of the original, lines like "Dig up every root and leaf..." or "What're you, my language teacher?" make you grin, right? It might be interesting to find out where in the original work the line you're hearing comes from, wouldn't it? Also, the Gallery Mode is gorgeous this time around. Leaky-Eye Luca, Zucchero, and Risotto, who only appear in cutscene art during the game, are reproduced in full 3D in the Model Test. Actually, the cutscene artwork was created using the 3D models. That's why there are proper 3D models of them. Wouldn't it be a waste for them to not appear in the game? The game itself is a challenging action game. It's a game with wide-open areas, so you'll get the hang of it by playing again and again. With Ghiaccio and Notorious B.I.G in particular, at first you think "This is impossible!" というわけで企画の側から。ゲームの方はいかがでしたでしょうか？3Dになってもちゃんとジョジョしてるでしょ？凄いよね、アーティストゥーンって。ジョジョファンの私も思わずディ・モールト・グラッツェ！と言ってしまった程。今作はバトル中に長セリフをキャラがしゃべります。実はかなりの数があって、スーパーストーリーモードとアナザーとで言うセリフが違うんですよ。しかもバトル状況（敵の体力など）でセリフが変わります。サントラには収録できませんでしたがゲームをいるいるやって聞いてみてください。「根掘り葉掘り…」とか「国語の先生よぉ！」とか原作のファンなら思わずニヤリでしょ？原作のどこのセリフを使っているのか探してみるのも面白いかも？あと今回、豪華なのがギャラリーモード。モデルテストなんてゲーム中にはデモしか登場しない涙目のルカやズッケェロ、リゾットなんかも3Dで再現されています。実はデモは3Dのモデルを使って作ってるんですよ。だからちゃんと3Dのキャラがいるんです。なんかゲームに登場しないのもったいないくらいですね。ゲーム自体もやり応えのあるアクションゲームになってるでしょ？豪庭用ゲームということでじっくり何回も繰り返して遊んでいくうちにコツを覚えていくようになっています。最初ギアッチョやノトーリアスBIGなんて「どうやって倒すんだよぉぉ」なんて思っていたそこのアナタ！ほら、何回もやれば敵の動きが分かるようになっていくでしょ？全シークレットファクターをGETして最終的にオールパーフェクト（可能です）目指してやりこんでもらえれば、製作側としてはこれ幸いでございますっ。極めればこんな連続技（ジョルノ）も！
