Release
In early 2022, JO☆STARS announced they would be going on tour and they would release an album of original songs to lead up to the start of their tour and the mini-album's release. Four of the five tracks on the album were released as digital singles on the first of the month up until the announcement of the album's release.
The first of the tracks released was "A man called a Hero" on January 1, 2022, which was described TOMMY's image song as written by JIN.[2] The second single "You make me..." was released on February 1 and was described as Coda's song as written by TOMMY.[3] The third single "Dramatic Blue" released on March 1 and is JIN's song as written by Coda. The album's fourth single "Never End (Acoustic Ver.)" was released on April 1, 2022; "Never End" was a song that the band had performed live prior but was never released as a standalone song. The announcement of the acoustic version of "Never End" also came with the announcement of the mini-album's title and its intended release date of May 21, 2022.[4] On April 14, 2022, the FIREWORKS Twitter account put up a pre-order page for the Sessions mini-album, revealing the 5th track on the album would be "JO☆STARS Net Zadankai Theme Song" (JO☆STARS ネット座談会テーマソング), as featured in their monthly live streams.[5]
