Coda Piano Trio

Coda Piano Trio, abbreviated to CPT, is a Japanese jazz band formed in the spring of 2019 by Coda, started as an extension of his work in JO☆STARS.^[1] The group features Coda on vocals and piano, Ryosuke Tanaka on bass, and Yousuke Omiya a.k.a. HAZE on drums. They are known for their jazz piano covers of songs related to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: The Animation.

Biography

Coda, Ryosuke Tanaka, and HAZE

The band was formed by Coda in the spring of 2019.^[1] They went on a tour titled Coda Piano Trio Tour 2019, performing at several venues: Live Juke on June 1, Soap opera classics on June 2, Live Dome STARDUST on June 15, and 7th FLOOR on June 23.^[2] Their performance at 7th FLOOR was attended by TOMMY and Hiroyuki Omori.^[3]

At their concert Coda Piano Trio ~Passione Natale~ on December 20, 2019,^[4] they released their extended play ebony & ivory, making it simultaneously available online. On January 12, 2021 they released their self-titled debut album, Coda Piano Trio, on digital platforms.^[5]
