Phantom Blood
A site that was used for sacrificial rituals by the Aztec Chief and his tribe. The site consists of an Aztec pyramid, with a flat top where a table has been set in order to tie up sacrifices. The Aztec Chief slams a follower into the ground, creating a large cut in the pyramid.

A steam cruiser going from England to the United States. Jonathan Joestar and Erina Pendleton intend to spend their honeymoon on the cruise, but Jonathan discovers that Dio Brando and Wang Chan have infiltrated the boat. Wang Chan sucks one passenger's blood, and soon most of the passengers become part of a zombie mob. However, Jonathan manages to destroy the boat by forcing Wang Chan to hold the ship's screw shaft in place, making it explode. Erina, her yet-unborn son, and an orphaned baby (the future Lisa Lisa) appear to be the only survivors; it is later revealed in Stardust Crusaders that Dio has survived the explosion as well.

A temple in Mexico discovered by excavators from the Speedwagon Foundation. In a deep chamber at the heart of the temple slumbers Santana, along with dozens of Stone Masks. It is in here that Straizo betrays Robert E. O. Speedwagon and decides to become a Vampire. The Nazis retrieve Speedwagon and Santana and move their to their base.

An underground Nazi laboratory set up to experiment on the Vampires and Pillar Men. Its experimentation pit was supposedly able to hold Santana but it proven ineffective in keeping him prisoner. It is equipped with a self-destruct mechanism in case the situation goes out of control. It is where Joseph Joestar and Rudol von Stroheim fight Santana.

The capital of Italy, full of Roman ruins and other monuments. Despite having 4,000,000 inhabitants, there are only two subway lines because the excavation teams keep discovering other ruins. The Colosseum is in here. Joseph Joestar meets Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli in there.

A secret cavern under the Colosseum. A secret passage behind the famous Bocca della Verità. The Nazis discover three Pillar Men slumbering here, Wamuu, Esidisi and Kars. The cavern is vast and decorated with columns and primitive sculptures. Its main point of interest is the wall in which the Pillar Men slumbered and the Nazis have installed several installations to keep the Pillar Men in check. They escape anyway. It is there that Joseph Joestar first encounters the three Pillar Men.

A picturesque Italian city in the North of Italy, where canals and gondoliers replace streets and cars. Lisa Lisa lives here.
Anime Debut: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Episode 18: Stroheim's Unit Strikes Back
A small mountainous country between Italy and Germany. The Joestar Group visits the country when they chase the Red Stone of Aja, which was sent here by Esidisi. The Nazis have another base in here in the form of a chalet, which was attacked by Kars. In Switzerland, there is the town and luxury resort of St-Moritz, the "valley of the sun" and mecca of winter sports where rich people take their holidays.

It was renamed to the Narita International Airport in 2004. One of Tokyo's main airports and where Joseph Joestar and Muhammad Avdol arrive first when they go to Japan. They meet Holy Kujo there.

A large traditional Japanese house situated in Tokyo. It's home to Jotaro Kujo and his mother, Holy Kujo. The mansion is quite luxurious, with comfortable buildings, a large japanese garden and a tea house.

Cairo, the capital of Egypt. It is the end goal of the heroes, as it is the city where DIO resides in his mansion. Cairo is a sprawling city of 2,000,000 habitants at the time of the story and a long history, with labyrinthine streets and unique local customs. It is also the home of Muhammad Avdol. It is the theater of several battles, notably Jotaro Kujo against DIO.

Tiger Balm Garden is a public park near Causeway Bay in Hong Kong. It was created by Aw Boon Haw in 1935, after he became a millionaire selling his curative Tiger Balm. The bright colors and unreal carved animals make it a popular tourist attraction spot. It becomes the location of the battle between Muhammad Avdol and Jean Pierre Polnareff.

Calcutta is the cultural capital of India. It has a population of over 11 million people, though more then 2 million are homeless. The 19th century British refered to it as one of the "Worst places in the world". The city was officially renamed to Kolkata in 2001. A very active city, it is ridden with beggars, thiefs and filth, which shocks most of the Joestar Group. It is there that Jean Pierre Polnareff encounters Hol Horse and J. Geil.

A restaurant in which the Joestar Group decides to have lunch. Equipped with a pig pen toilet that has been built too low so the pigs occasionally stick their head out of the toilet bowl. Jean Pierre Polnareff first sees Hanged Man in here. Humorously, it is named "Gaylord" in the OVA adaptation.

The outskirts of Calcutta, an underdeveloped area where beggars dwell in old Indian ruins. Hol Horse and J. Geil meet there to plot their attack on the Joestar Group and it is also there that Jean Pierre Polnareff and Noriaki Kakyoin fight J. Geil.

A crowded pedestrian shopping area in Calcutta. It is precisely there that Jean Pierre Polnareff encounters Hol Horse and begins to fight with him. It is also there that Muhammad Avdol is seemingly killed by J. Geil and Hol Horse.
A holy Indian city along the river Ganges, also known as Benares. Home to fakirs and where religious rituals are a common sight. It is said that one can remain in this city for months without getting bored. Joseph Joestar has to fight Empress in the streets of Varanasi.

A foggy city in Pakistan, where the inhabitants are unusually gloomy, unfriendly, apathetic, etc. It is in fact a cemetery that Enya the Hag disguises as a town thanks to the illusion powers of Justice.

When Enya the Hag meets the Joestar Group, she pretends to be a hotel owner and invites the heroes to sleep there. At first glance, it seems like a simple hotel. However, it is a mere illusion. Jotaro Kujo fights Enya the Hag here.
The largest city in Pakistan. Steely Dan confronts the Joestar Group there and the action is dispersed in the streets and shops of the city.
Capital of the United Arab Emirates. Once a small desertic country, it became rich thanks to oil. Abu Dhabi becomes a prosperous city where every house is a manor and the city can afford to have decorative plants everywhere despite the climate.

Yabrin is a small village in the United Arab Emirates. The Joestar Group goes there to purchase a plane.
The Arabian desert, complete with the scorching sun a vast seas of dunes. The Joestar Group try to fly across the desert but Death Thirteen attacks them during their travel, resulting in a crash. However, Noriaki Kakyoin defeats the baby Mannish Boy.

The Red Sea, the clearest most beautiful sea in the world according to all divers. Home to an impressive fauna. The Red Sea is named as such because of its coasts of red deserts. Without any city to pollute, it is an ecosystem that has kept its beauty. The Joestar Group try to cross it via a submarine, but High Priestess attacks and sinks the submarine, forcing the group to go scuba diving instead.

An island in the middle of the red sea. Supposedly where Muhammad Avdol's father lives, but it is a ruse. There is nonetheless a house there with chickens. It is there that Judgement tricks Jean Pierre Polnareff, and where Muhammad Avdol makes his return.

The Egyptian desert. More dunes and rocky formations. It is there that the Joestar Group meets Iggy, and where N'Doul attacks them with his Geb. Jotaro Kujo defeats him.

A city in the south of Egypt and famous tourist spot for its monuments. The area was once known as Nubia and it is there that the Aswan barrage was built in 1971. It is also there that Noriaki Kakyoin is treated and where Oingo and Boingo try to assassinate the Joestar Group.
The River Nile, one of the world's longest rivers and known for being the main artery of Egypt, the main reason of the rise of the Ancient Egyptian civilization. The Joestar Group has to navigate down the Nile to reach Cairo.
An ancient Egyptian temple on the banks of the Niles. It is there that Chaka, controlled by Anubis, challenges Jean Pierre Polnareff.
An Egyptian city in the South of the country. It is there that Jotaro Kujo and Jean Pierre Polnareff fight Anubis again, and where Anubis is definitely defeated.
Anime Debut: Stardust Crusaders Episode 30: "Bastet" Mariah, Part 1
Luxor, an Egyptian city situated near the famous "Valley of the Kings", where many a pharaoh's tomb has been built. It is said that its inhabitant still dig to try to find ancient treasures. It is where Mariah fights Joseph Joestar and Muhammad Avdol, and where Alessi tries to assassinate Jean Pierre Polnareff.

Malèna's house in Luxor. It is here that Alessi attacks a young Jean Pierre Polnareff a second time.

An area near Cairo, where the famous pyramids of Gizeh and Sphinx are. In a café near the monuments, Daniel J. D'Arby challenges the Joestar Group to several games, almost killing the entire group but being defeated by Jotaro Kujo at poker.
Anime Debut: Stardust Crusaders Episode 36: Hol Horse and Boingo, Part 1
A hotel located en route to Egypt. The Joestar Group stop there along the way to Cairo. It becomes a trap for the group due to Dija Maker controlling the hotel staff and the building itself with his Stand, House of Holy. It acts as the main location to escape from for the story made for the JoJo's Bizarre Escape: The Hotel escape room.

Koichi Hirose briefly clashes with Giorno in the streets too.

Naples' main airport. It is there that Koichi Hirose arrives and first meets Giorno Giovanna. The airport is Leaky-Eye Luca's territory and the gangster confronts Giorno over a matter of unpaid tithe in the area. For a fee to Luca, and the guard, one can do business here.

A prison where the capo Polpo is kept. Polpo's own room resembles a bare cell at first glance, but its walls hide several goods and furniture from a fridge to an armory. The security around Polpo is actually tight and the guards do not tolerate any exchange of goods between prisoners and visitors.

The high school where Giorno studies and lives. Giorno Giovanna and Koichi Hirose fight Black Sabbath in the courtyard. The building is based on the Villa Fenaroli hotel in Rezzato.

A boat that Bruno Bucciarati rents in order to lead his team to Capri. It is covered with a second boat by Mario Zucchero and the theater of the fight between Bruno and Leone Abbacchio against Zucchero.

Capri, an island in the Mediterranean Sea. Thanks to its cliffs, it is considered one of the most beautiful islands in the world. Once, a Roman Emperor used the island as a temporary palace and didn't return to Rome for 10 years. It is there that Bruno Bucciarati has hidden Polpo's treasure. It is also there that Guido Mista fights and defeats Sale.

A vineyard in the Italian countryside. Unbeknownst to the locals, Team Bucciarati hides Trish Una in one of the houses there but they are soon forced to leave.

The ruins of Pompeii. Pompeii was once a prosperous Roman city. In 24 of August, 79, the Vesuvio erupted and buried the city and its inhabitants in scalding ash, ironically preserving the city and turning the locals into statues that would be rediscovered 1800 years later. In there, a famous place known as the house of the tragic poet harbors an equally famous dog mosaic. It is there that Pannacotta Fugo, Leone Abbacchio and Giorno Giovanna go to retrieve a key and are attacked by Illuso.

Naples' train station. Team Bucciarati goes there to take the next train to Venice and find the turtle Coco Jumbo.

An express train to Florence via Rome. Team Bucciarati board it, hidden in Coco Jumbo. However, Prosciutto and Pesci attack it to find Trish. It is temporarily stopped during the fight and Team Bucciarati leaves. Melone boards it to find a suitable mother for his Baby Face and the train does arrive in Rome.
A roadside parking lot. In there, Giorno Giovanna turns a dozen cars into frogs to erase the traces of Team Bucciarati as they try to steal a car. It is there that Baby Face attacks Giorno Giovanna and is defeated.

Venice, or Venezia, is a city situated in Northeastern Italy. It is a cluster of islands separated by canals. Several fights happen there, notably Guido Mista and Giorno Giovanna against Ghiaccio and Narancia Ghirga against Squalo and Tizzano. One point of interest is the San Giorgio Maggiore island and its church.
Team Bucciarati eat at a restaurant which is inspired by a real restaurant named Ristorante da Raffaele[2]

Rome, the capital of Italy. It is the theater of several fights that have a huge impact. Cioccolata's Green Day spreads its mold there, causing a massacre before Giorno Giovanna kills him. Secco and Bruno Bucciarati's fight wreck the streets too because of Oasis liquefying the ground. Finally, the population falls victim to Chariot Requiem, their souls switched with one another until Chariot is destroyed.

A hospital in Orlando, unremarkable save for being the place where Enrico Pucci meets Ungalo, Rikiel and Donatello Versus. Donatello finds a sinkhole under his room and it is there that Jolyne Cujoh encounters Under World for the first time.
A humble mansion, with a luxurious interior, several cars parked nearby and a heliport. Romeo Jisso meets Jolyne Cujoh here when she gets out of prison and Romeo gives her the key to a helicopter.
The Atlantic Ocean. In a misguided attempt at depriving Enrico Pucci of cover, the Joestar Group flies to there. However, they soon realize that the tide provides ample cover for Pucci. It is here that Jotaro Kujo, Ermes Costello, Narciso Anasui and Jolyne Cujoh die, killed by Enrico Pucci and Made in Heaven.
Steel Ball Run
The Arizona Desert, a vast desert that sets the stage for the second part of the Steel Ball Run. Sandman's tribe lives here. The desert is extremely vast and possesses several types of landscapes, from hot desert plains to iron-rich mountains. It is the backdrop of several fights pitting Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli against (in order) Mrs. Robinson, the Boomboom Family, Oyecomova, and Pork Pie Hat Kid. There is a Devil's Palm moving around the desert, and several people have become Stand Users while crossing it.
San Diego West Coast Beach, a vast Californian beach and the starting point of the Steel Ball Run. A camp is temporarily set up here to welcome and house the thousands of competitors.
A special train prepared by Steven Steel to help journalists and VIPs observe the first stage of the SBR. The train continues its way through the Arizona Desert, and is repurposed into a mobile base for Funny Valentine during the second and third stages of the race.
A mountain range between Monument Valley and Cañon City that serves as the area of the Steel Ball Run's third stage.

Kansas City is a city in the middle of the United States. It serves as the finish line for the fourth stage of the Steel Ball Run. Blackmore kills Mountain Tim and Lucy Steel becomes involved in Funny Valentine's plot here. Diego Brando strikes a deal with Funny Valentine in this city.
Near the Mississippi, Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli are attacked by a combination of Sandman and Diego Brando's abilities. Johnny learns about the Golden Rectangle here and manages to kill Sandman.

A giant tree serving as a Devil's Palm, where the Saint's Corpse's ears and left arm can be obtained. The tree submits passersby to two trials, overseen by a prior victim. Sugar Mountain is the current host when Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli come across it. The springs nearby are connected to the tree and are part of the trial.
A city in Wisconsin where Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli go to spend their acquired money. In a seedy casino, Johnny and Gyro fight the Eleven Men and are ultimately forced to trade their Holy Corpse Parts away.
A presidential residence in Chicago. Under high security because of Funny Valentine's presence, it is nonetheless infiltrated by Lucy Steel and Hot Pants, who try to steal Valentine's corpse parts. Mike O. and Scarlet Valentine are killed here, though the second death is kept secret by Hot Pants disguising Lucy.
A frozen strait between Lake Michigan and Lake Superior. The participants in the Steel Ball Run have to cross this strait to finish the sixth stage, but the ice is not necessarily thick enough. Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli are attacked by Wekapipo and Magent Magent here. A wolf, the host of the Saint's Corpse's legs, dwells near here.

The capital city of Pennsylvania. As the the finish line of the Steel Ball Run's seventh stage, it serves as a crucial location in the race. The city is the backdrop of a series of battles, with combatants including Johnny Joestar, Gyro Zeppeli, Diego Brando, Wekapipo, Magent Magent, D-I-S-C-O, and Funny Valentine. Valentine eventually secures a way out of the city with Lucy Steel and Steven Steel.
Independence Hall is the building where both the United States Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution were debated and adopted. Funny Valentine makes it his temporary base during the seventh stage and hides the Holy Corpse Parts there. Lucy Steel discovers it and is revealed to be the host of the last Holy Corpse Part, the head.
New Jersey is a state in the Mid-Atlantic region of the Northeast United States. It is the main area of the Steel Ball Run's eighth stage. It serves as the battlefield for Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli's battle against a Love Train-empowered Funny Valentine.
New York City, the most populous and prosperous city in the United States. It serves as the finish line of the eighth and final stage of the Steel Ball Run. Here, Johnny Joestar pursues and battles a Parallel World Diego Brando.
Trinity Church is a church in New York City. Beneath it, a vault has been built to store the Saint's Corpse indefinitely. After Parallel World Diego Brando seals the Saint's Corpse in the vault, Lucy Steel confronts him and kills him.
Diego Brando's birthplace. He grew up in one of the farms in the countryside.
After his death and subsequent revival in the Golgotha, Jesus decided to head east. He crossed many regions during his journey east, notably stopping in Japan to build a boat with the locals. He eventually reached and expired in the Americas.

A secluded village up in the mountains, situated 80 km northwest of Morioh. There are no road leading to this village, yet there are more than 11 palatial mansions in this village, a heliport and even an Isetan store. The villas all belong to people who didn't come out of money, but became rich after purchasing a villa at the age of 25. One villa is up for sale and the price is quite low for a villa, at about 3 million yen for 800 tsubo/2648 square kilometers, but the village is quite strict about manners and will refuse to sell to anyone who lacks manners. It is revealed that the village is situated in sacred lands, where gods of the mountains test buyers to see if they have manners.

The villa that Kyoka Izumi wants to buy. The master of the house is unseen and Rohan Kishibe and Kyoka only interact with the butler, Ikkyu. The villa's land covers 800 tsubos (2648 square kilometers) of land, but only a small part of the house is seen, the entrance area and the guest's room. The OVA expands a bit on the villa and shows more spaces like a luxurious reception hall and a garden.
Jugo Shishi's office. Like any mangaka's office, there is a drawing desk, a regular desk and bookshelves full of books for references. It also has a small table, a small couch and chair and a refrigerator. It is noticeably messier than Rohan's own office, but its state worsens after Jugo Shishi becomes obsessed with the word "kushagara", at it becomes filled with books and loose sheets of paper.
Mai Katahira's house, from the TV Drama. It is a modern, well lit and well ordered house, with an emphasis on open spaces and ambient lights. One highlight of the house is the plush tent that Mai's daughter, Mao, has built and in which she stays inside nearly all the time.
