Kellen Alexander Goff was born in Torrance, California. During his youth, Goff studied theater for several years. In middle school, Goff started his career in animation. However, he soon switched to voice acting instead. He was coached in animation voiceover by Bob Bergen. During his career, Kellen Goff was able to do voice acting for animated series, video games, web series and films.[2]
Kellen Goff had watched JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's anime in November 2019[3] and became interested in Vinegar Doppio's character and his psychology while talking about the series.[4] Goff incidentally received later an audition proposal for Diavolo[5] and won the part, although he also auditioned for Doppio's voice.[6]
Goff theorizes that Diavolo's personality contains a bit of Doppio's personality in it that resurfaces when Diavolo loses his cool, and compares Diavolo to a child who is "playing the boss". This influenced how he voiced the character, and every time Diavolo loses his calm, Goff voices him with a higher pitch to evoke the idea that Diavolo's childish side resurfaces.[7]
When asked what character he believes would be fun to voice in the English dub of Stone Ocean's anime adaptation, Goff responded that he would really like to play the Green Baby.[8]
