Kunihiro Watanabe (渡邉 城大, Watanabe Kunihiro) is a Japanese painter and photographer, commonly referred to by his artist name, JohDai.

Watanabe was one of Hirohiko Araki's assistants between the years 2010 and 2018. He currently works freelance while holding art exhibitions in various locations.

History

Watanabe joined Araki's team around the tail-end of Steel Ball Run and continued to work as an assistant throughout JoJolion's serialization. His name is scattered throughout the chapters that were released during his eight years at Lucky Land Communications.

  • Watanabe notes that he did not enjoy working as an assistant as the job required constantly drawing, erasing and redrawing panels.[2]
