Fuminori Komatsu (小松 史法, Komatsu Fuminori) is a Japanese voice actor. He is credited for his work as the voice actor for the character Jean Pierre Polnareff in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind.

He is also well known for his roles as Takeuchi in A Silent Voice (film), Manager Imanishi in The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls, Sam Ibrahim in Great Pretender (TV series) and Marvin Branagh in Resident Evil 2's 2019 remake. Fuminori is also the voice of Shia Labeouf in Japanese dubs.

Biography

Fuminori Komatsu was born in 1978 in (Tokyo. Komatsu initially envisioned a career in baseball until he was stopped by a leg injury when he was in his second year of college.[3] Afterwards, Komatsu worked at a kimono shop and also worked part-time at a karaoke shop after graduating from university. He went to see the stage and became interested in becoming an actor, and was recommended by a friend to become an actor.[3] Komatsu is married to voice actress Michiko Shimizu.

  • Komatsu's favorite aspect of Polnareff is his chivalrous and simple nature. He mentions not really having any issues voicing the character, but often wondered if his performance would live up to the visuals.[4]
