Daisuke Hirakawa (平川 大輔, Hirakawa Daisuke) is a Japanese voice actor. He is credited for his work as the voice actor for the character Noriaki Kakyoin in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders.

He is also well known for his roles as Makoto Ito in School Days, Enmu in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Rei Ryugazaki in Free! and as Rufus Albarea in The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel. He is also the voice of Orlando Bloom and Tom Hiddleston in Japanese dubs.

Biography

Daisuke Hirakawa was born in 1973 in Niigata Prefecture. He graduated from the Katsuta Voice Actor Academy's 11th term. In debut role was in the film Seven Years in Tibet. Hirakawa was mostly acting in dubbing live-action roles until he debuted as a anime voice actor in Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo as Franz D'Epinay. Since then, the roles he plays vary from young boys to adolescents, with a focus on adult male roles.

  • Hirakawa has said that he likes "everything" about Kakyoin, including his strengths and flaws. When voicing the character, the aspect he struggled the most with was the unique expressions and phrasings found throughout the series, including the famous "Rerorero" line.[2]
