Trivia
- Ueda struggled the most with "making sure Speedwagon sounded like a good guy", despite his mannerisms in Part 1. He also found it more difficult to do vigorous lines while taking into account Speedwagon was much older in Part 2.[3]
- Ueda's favorite season one character, not including his own, is Joseph Joestar. He likes Joseph's emotive and mean, yet appealing nature.[3]
- His favorite character in Phantom Blood is Will Anthonio Zeppeli, as he thinks how Zeppeli lives his life in the story is incredible. He is also indebted to Zeppeli's voice actor, Yoku Shioya, as Shioya was the sound director of the anime that Ueda debuted in. Shioya taught him a lot in many of his early works, including the basics of voice acting.[4]
- He would really like a prequel spinoff story of Speedwagon to be made, whether it is a live-action film or a mini-series. It would depict Speedwagon's journey in the fifty years between Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency.[4]
