Rikiya Koyama (小山 力也, Koyama Rikiya) is a Japanese actor and voice actor. Koyama voiced Will Anthonio Zeppeli in both the PS2 game and 2007 movie adaptations of the first part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Phantom Blood.
He later returned to voice Yoshikage Kira and Kosaku Kawajiri in All-Star Battle and Eyes of Heaven.
Koyama has voiced popular characters from other series such as Coyote Starrk in Bleach, Ging Freecss in Hunter × Hunter, Tora in Ushio and Tora, Kyros in One Piece, Joichiro Yukihira in Shokugeki no Soma, Yamato in Naruto, Mozgus in the Berserk 2016 adaptation, and Kogoro Mouri in Detective Conan from episode 553 onwards. Koyama also voices Taiga Saejima in the Yakuza game series
Biography
Rikiya Koyama was born on December 18, 1963, in Kyoto. After graduating from the Ritsumeikan Junior and Senior High School in 1982, Koyama then entered the Ritsumeikan University's Faculty of Law.[3] At the time, he belonged to the Ritsumeikan Theater company. He graduated from university in 1987 and then entered the Toho Gakuen College of Drama and Music. After graduating, Koyama joined the Hauyuza Theater Company.[4]
Koyama debuted as an actor on the live-action series Kamen Rider Black RX and his voice acting debut in the Japanese dub of ER. Since then, Koyama has appeared in multiple series, games and TV animes. He is also active as a stage actor and has participated in stage performance across Europe since the 2000s. He played the role of Antonio in the play The Merchant of Venice, for which he won the 9th Yomiuri Theater Awards.
In 2011, Rikiya Koyama received the "Kei Tomiyama Award" as part of the 5th Seiyu Awards.[5]
