Yasuyuki Kase (加瀬 康之, Kase Yasuyuki) is a Japanese voice actor notable for voicing the character Mikitaka Hazekura in the TV anime adaptation of Diamond is Unbreakable, as well as Funny Valentine in the Bandai Namco video games All-Star Battle, Eyes of Heaven, and All-Star Battle R.

His notable voice roles include Kankuro in Naruto, "Big News" Morgans in One Piece, Guzma in Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon, Waichiro Sekiya in Golden Kamuy, Simon in Fairy Tail, Ryugo Someoka in Inazuma Eleven, Falco in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and Dohalim il Qaras in Tales of Arise. He is also the voice of Ryan Reynolds, Paul Bettany, Leonardo DiCaprio, Chris Evans, and Josh Stewart in Japanese dubs.

Biography

Kase was born on March 14, 1971 in Ota, Tokyo, Japan. In 1991, he graduated from Tokyo Announce Gakuin Performing Arts College in the Voice Acting department. Two years later, he joined the Ezaki Production affiliated training school. In 1995, Kase was affiliated with Maus Promotion, which was formerly Ezaki Production.[5] After a period of freelancing, he affiliated with the Office Osawa agency from December 1, 2007 onward.[6]

He participates widely in anime and performs voice overs for various actors in foreign film dubbings. He first voiced Ryan Reynolds in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Since voicing in Deadpool, he has become the regular dubbing voice for most of Reynolds' works, establishing himself as "the familiar voice of Ryan Reynolds."[7].

His first time dubbing Leonardo DiCaprio was in Shutter Island. His initial endeavor in this role garnered high praise and was notably labeled as an 'exceptional Japanese dubbed version,' generating buzz and acclaim.[8]. Since then, he has dubbed the majority of DiCaprio's works.
