Chiaki Matsuzawa (松澤 千晶, Matsuzawa Chiaki) is a Japanese voice actress and announcer. She is credited for her work as the host for the JOESTAR The Inherited Soul event.

She is also well known for her roles as announcer and news reporter in several series, such as My Hero Academia, Concrete Revolutio, and Digimon Adventure tri.

Biography

Chiaki Matsuzawa was born on January 28, 1985. Matsuzawa graduated from the Nihon University College of Art.

After graduating from college in 2007, Matsuzawa worked as an economics reporter at Nikkei CNBC, an economics channel of The Nihon Keizai Shimbun, where she was in charge of morning, noon, and evening economics programs. as well as stock market reports, interviews with executives, and various other duties. Starting in 2009, she began working at TBS News, where she was in charge of various kinds of news reports, from regular news to election coverage, on-site reporting, and sudden responses to incidents and accidents. Currently, Matsuzawa is working in her specialty genres such as anime, manga, and games.[1]

  • Ayako's favorite scene was Jonathan and Erina's moment after their departure and just before Dio shows up on the ship in Episode 9.[2]
  • Ayako's favorite character other than her own is Jonathan. Her favorite line in the series is Speedwagon saying Dio smells awful in Episode 3.[2]
  • Ayako's favorite episode is Episode 3, and one of her favorite lines comes from the brats in Episode 1 complimenting Dio after forcefully kissing Erina.[3]
  • When asked for the Spring 2022 issue of JOJO magazine, Ayako stated her favorite character was DIO in Stardust Crusaders, and her favorite stand was Osiris.[3]
  • Ayako first became familiar with JoJo's Bizarre Adventure as a child, as her older brother was a reader of Weekly Shonen Jump. She was terrified of Phantom Blood due to it's horror elements, but eventually became a big fan during the beginning of Stardust Crusaders's serialization.[3]
  • Ayako thinks that Erina's most famous scene is when Dio Brando forcefully kisses her. She believes that her proceeding to wash her mouth out with dirty water is a sign of her strength, something she also feels is shown when she decides to abandon the sinking ship at the end of Phantom Blood. Ayako states that Erina is not just a woman who needs to be protected, but a woman who can protect others.[3]
