Katsuyuki Konishi (小西 克幸, Konishi Katsuyuki) is a Japanese voice actor notable for voicing Diavolo in the TV anime adaptation of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, specifically its fourth season, Golden Wind.

Katsuyuki also previously voiced Jonathan Joestar in the lost 2007 Phantom Blood movie. Other popular characters that he has voiced include Kamina from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Keigo Asano from Bleach, Laxus Dreyar from Fairy Tail, and Tengen Uzui from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.

Biography

Konishi was born in Wakayama Prefecture where he graduated in 1992 at the Wakayama Technical Senior High School.[3] Growing up, he spent most of his time playing soccer during his elementary years and did not have much exposure to anime except Captain Tsubasa. In high school, he joinedthe film club so he could play the games in the auditorium. A fellow member of the club suggested him to pursue voice acting as a profession. After their graduation, he went to Tokyo to attend Katsuta Voice Actor Academy thanks to the recommendation of his sister.[4]

Konishi began his career as a voice and stage actor in 1996 and first debuted as the robot Volfogg for The King of Braves GaoGaiGar in 1997. In 2015, he won the Best Supporting Actor award at the 9th Seiyū Awards.[5]
