Kenta Miyake (三宅 健太, Miyake Kenta) is a Japanese voice actor who voices Muhammad Avdol in the second season of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: The Animation, Stardust Crusaders.

He is also well known for his roles as All Might in My Hero Academia, Scar in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Sakaki (Giovanni) in Pokémon, Gladiolus Amicitia in Final Fantasy XV, Skin Boric in D. Gray-man, Nosferatu Zodd in Berserk, Chu Hachikawa in Tokyo Ghoul, Leongar in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Vector the Crocodile in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, and Bowser in The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Biography

Kenta Miyake was born in 1977 in Okinawa prefecture. When he was a teenager, Miyake was a fan of an actress and wanted to co-star with her so he chose the career of a voice actor.[3] He graduated from Amusement Media General Academy in the Department of Voice Actors, and entered 81 Produce.[4]

Miyake is married and had a son in 2011.[5]

In 2019 at the 13th Seiyu Awards, Miyake won the award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.[6]

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure

Miyake is a huge fan of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, stating he was excited to voice in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure at the time of the Part 3 anime’s release.

  • Miyake's favorite aspect of Avdol is his modest, yet passionate personality. The character can be notably cold at times, but also sympathetic. Miyake struggled the most with balancing these aspects.[7]
