Marin (真凛, Marin), real name Mari Nishitani (西谷 麻里, Nishitani Mari) is a Japanese actress, reporter and TV personality credited for playing Mika Hayamura in the live-action Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan TV drama.

Biography

In 2007, Marin was scouted by the Japanese talent agency Horipro. In 2008, Marin moved to the Osaka branch of Horipro and made her debut in the idol group Hop Club. In April 2009, Marin moved her base of operations to Tokyo.

In Decenber 31, 2009, she announced on her blog that she be changing her stage name from "Mari Nishitani" to "Marin" after her depature from Hop Club.

In January 2010, Marin moved to Horipro's headquarters and begun doing stage performances in the Girls ACTRY threatre group.

In summer 2010, Marin started her shown segmant named "Marin's Marine Park" on the official Horipro channel on Nico Nico Douga.

In April 2013, Marin was selected as a member of the sports cheerleading idol group Mobcast Girl. She left the group on September 30th that same year.

  • Due to the influence of her older brother, Marin is a big fan of the band SOUL'd OUT. She is also close friends with the band's DJ Shinnosuke.[1]
