Stephen Fu
‘’’Stephen Fu’’’ is a famous American voice actor based in Los Angeles, USA. He is credited for voicing the character of Gunpei Kamafusa from Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan and Weather Report from the English dub TV anime adaptation of the 6th Part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series, Stone Ocean.
Stephen Fu is also well known for voicing Henry Legolant in Black Clover, Ryo Saeba in City Hunter:Shinjuku Private Eyes, Itsuki Hashima from Imouto Sae Ireba, Naruzo Machiou from Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru?, Makoto Hanamiya in Kuroko’s Basketball, Sudou Kaname in Darwin’s Game and Cho-Sang Woo in Squid Game.
Biography
Stephen Fu was born in Los Angeles, California, USA on an undisclosed date. Fu dreamt of becoming a voice actor ever since he was a kid, and provided numerous voices for different actors during his school days.[1] Fu would later graduate in the University of Texas at Dallas and earn his Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology in 2009,[2] in which he began his work as a Lab Technician in UT Southwestern Medical Center, working there for 4 year before leaving and immediately deciding to become a voice actor at a very young age. He would later take voice acting classes such as Marc Cashman's Commercial Novice Class[3], Pat Fraley's taking Comedy Seriously and Dave Fennoy's Voice Acting for Video Games. Fu would begin to focus on his own voice acting career from thereon.
He would later land minor roles in popular animes, being the english dub voice actor of a young Urie Reiss in 2014's Attack on Titan, Ruka Gujou in Nanbaka, and even Johanne Fabius in Code Geass: Akito the Exiled, before being cast in major and main roles in the future.[4]
On December 2, 2021, Stephen Fu announced on his Twitter that he will be voicing Weather Report in the english dub of Stone Ocean[5], after teasing it in a separate tweet linked to a small Youtube video of a weather forecast in South Florida on Wednesday Afternoon, referencing his role in the anime and where the Part takes place.[6]
