Hiroshi Shiibashi (椎橋 寛, Shībashi Hiroshi) is a Japanese manga artist. He was one of Hirohiko Araki's assistants during the serialization of Steel Ball Run along with Yasuki Tanaka.[2]

Biography

Hiroshi Shiibashi was born in Suita, Osaka, on June 6, 1980. He graduated from the Osaka University's Faculty of Arts in the Department of Imaging. He began his career in manga as an assistant for Hirohiko Araki. During this period, he became friends with Yasuki Tanaka. Shiibashi and Tanaka make regular shout-outs to each other's works. For instance, the character "Tsurara Oikawa" from Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan appears in Tanaka's series Hitami no Catoblepas.

In 2002, Shiibashi published his first one-shot Aramata in Business Jump. He published several other one-shots from 2002 to 2008 for Shueisha and also the Osaka University of Arts. His first serialized work was Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan, published in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2008 to 2012.

In 2014, his series ILLEGAL RARE was published in Weekly Shonen Jump. After a series of one-shots, Shiibashi's work Yui Kamio Lets Loose was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2019.

His latest series is Iwamoto Senpai no Suisen, which began in 2021 and is published in Ultra Jump.
