René Dawn-Claude
René Dawn-Claude is a German voice actor, script writer and ADR director notable for voicing the character Kishibe Rohan in the German dub of Diamond is Unbreakable and the Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan OVAs.
He is also well known for his roles as Satoru Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen, Tooru Oikawa from Haikyuu, Jean Kirschtein in Attack on Titan, Meruem in Hunter x Hunter, Gray Fullbuster in Fairy Tail, Ling Yao in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Ikkaku Madarame in Bleach, Izaya Orihara in Durarara!!, Ryuusui Nanami in Dr. Stone, Hajime Kokonoi in Tokyo Revengers, Ryou Kurokiba in Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma, Metal Bat in One-Punch Man, Shintarou Midorima in Kuroko's Basketball and adult Endou Mamoru in the Inazuma Eleven GO games.
Biography
René Dawn-Claude is a very popular and respected ADR director and script writer in the anime community. The most popular dubs that he directed being the German dub of Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man. He seems to really care about his audience, aknowledging questions about casting for the fan favourite character Toji Fushiguro in the 2nd season of Jujutsu Kaisen, when the german dub wasn't out yet, and later even meeting up with his voice actor in person to announce the casting[1]. He also has an ongoing series on his TikTok and Twitter, where he meets up with the voice actors for popular characters in the shows he directed, letting them say famous lines from their characters.[2]
