Biography

Zach Aguilar was born on February 21, 1998 in the United States. At the age of nine, he suffered a tragic accident that left several of his bones broken as a result of medication-induced osteoporosis. During his years of recovery, he was able to reflect and ponder his path in life. He ultimately decided to hone in on voice acting due to his interest in anime growing up, most notably the series, Naruto. After researching the show's cast, he was left inspired after seeing the actors in interviews and convention panels.[3]

Aguilar's early career largely consisted of taking classes at Bang Zoom's Adventures in Voice Acting, eventually debuting as the character "Corn" in the anime adaptation of Skip Beat! (2008). He would continue to land various bit part roles before taking off in 2014 after winning the Magi 2 Voice Acting Open Auditions at Anime Expo. At the age of 16, he was one of the youngest contestants to ever win. He notes that fellow voice actor, Erica Lindbeck, had given him the push needed to win the competition.[3]

Zach has since then provided his voice to numerous English dubs for Japanese anime and video games, working primarily with Bang! Zoom Entertainment, VIZ Media, and Funimation. His first major anime role was Genos in One Punch Man, who he voiced at age 17.

Zach is also a popular live-streamer, having amassed over 400,000 subscribers on YouTube with content related to Among Us and Genshin Impact.[4]
