Posuka Demizu (出水ぽすか, Demizu Posuka) is the illustrator of Cool Shock Old B.T., a spin-off manga of Cool Shock B.T. written by Nisio Isin.

She has serialized various manga and one-shots in different magazines, and is particularly well-known for being the illustrator of The Promised Neverland, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump.

Biography

Posuka Demizu was born on January 17, 1988 and lives in Tokyo, Japan, where she graduated from a certain national university.[1] In June 2008, under the pseudonym "Asuka Demizu", she received an Honorable Mention in the Children's Division of the 62nd Shogakukan Manga Award for her work Flame Dragon Kagero. Demizu debuted as a manga artist with The Strongest Hamster! Mameta, a one-shot published in Shogakukan's CoroCoro Comic February 2009 issue. A year later, she released the one-shot manga Wild Dodge Volta in the October 2010 issue of CoroCoro Comic.

From 2013 to 2015, she illustrated the serialized manga Oreca Monsters Adventure Retsuden for CoroCoro Comic magazine, based on the popular card game Oreca Battle.[2]

Beginning in 2016, Demizu collaborated with author Kaiu Shirai on The Promised Neverland. The series began in Weekly Shonen Jump's 35th issue on August 1, 2016, and ended in the magazine's 28th issue on June 15, 2020.

In November 2016, PIE International published her first art book titled "PONE - Posuka Demizu Art Book". It releases in English titled "The Art of Posuka Demizu" on July 10, 2017. On September 3, 2021, she published Kaiu Shirai x Posuka Demizu: Beyond The Promised Neverland, a collection of short stories in collaboration with Shirai.[3]

When her collaboration with Nisio Isin for Cool Shock Old B.T. was announced in September 2021, Demizu stated that she was proud to be chosen as the illustrator and will do her best to liven up the world of the series.[4]
