Biography

Ezra Weisz was born in Freehold, New Jersey on January 1, 1971.[1] Originally pursuing an acting career, he attended the California Institute of the Arts for his BFA in theater and would subsequently audition for various gigs in TV, movies and commercials. During the early stages of his career, Weisz would also participate in local improv comedy shows and went on to teach classes in acting and perform in children’s theatre. It was at one of these shows that he was approached by a casting agent who offered him his first professional voice-over role as a Mighty Morphin Power Rangers character. Following this, Weisz began accumulating voice acting credits through connections with fellow actors. He worked primarily with Bang Zoom! Entertainment and Magnitude 8 Post, with his first major anime role being Clive in Arc the Lad.[2]

As a dubbing director, Weisz's first anime was Media Concept's localization of A Little Snow Fairy Sugar, followed by Ultra Maniac. The recording studio had originally hired Weisz to voice in and direct the 3D-CG TV series Zentrix, in which he worked alongside an inexperienced Steve Blum. He has since then been involved in a number of anime series as both a voice actor and ADR director.

Ezra has been married to Sabrina Weisz since 1998, and has since had two children, Jacob and Sarah.[3]
