Stardust Crusaders - Episode 36
Hol Horse and Boingo, Part 1 (ホル・ホースとボインゴ その1, Horu Hōsu to Boingo Sono 1)[1] is the thirty-sixth episode of Stardust Crusaders, the twelfth episode of the Battle in Egypt arc, and the sixty-second episode of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: The Animation. It covers Chapter 210 and Chapter 217 through the first few pages of Chapter 219 of the manga.
Hol Horse reappears in Cairo with Boingo to try and assassinate the Joestar Group again. To have a shot at finally killing the heroes, Hol Horse must first learn to trust in Boingo's Tohth and its ridiculous predictions.
Summary
One day before the heroes will reach Cairo, Hol Horse has entered DIO's Mansion and carefully walks in the darkness, stumbling upon drained corpses and treasures alike. It is only when Hol Horse reaches the library that DIO appears. Nervous, Hol Horse makes his report about Mariah and Alessi's defeat but DIO is uninterested by the report and blames Hol Horse for having failed to kill the Joestars twice. Although it seems DIO will execute him, the Vampire only shows Hol Horse his imperfectly synched body and gives him one final chance to defeat Jotaro's group. Angered by DIO's callousness, Hol Horse gathers enough courage to try to shoot DIO from behind, but DIO suddenly appears behind him. The Vampire praises Hol Horse for his spirit and reiterates his expectations for the gunman. Finally seeing the gulf in power between them, Hol Horse swears to heed DIO's command.
Later, Hol Horse returns from Aswan with a trunk in hand. When two men try to take a taxi in his place, Hol Horse summons Emperor and shoots one of the men's ear. It is revealed that he's kidnapped Boingo, but ultimately convinces him to team up with him so that they combine their Stand abilities and assassinate the Joestars. Hol Horse first wants to test Tohth's power, but sees the comicbook predicting that he will kick a woman and be rewarded for it. Shocked at this outrageous prediction, Hol Horse still obliges and kicks a passing woman, incidentally killing a scorpion hidden in her clothes. After the grateful woman gives him a diamond, Hol Horse is fully convinced of Tohth's ability.
Meanwhile, as the Joestar Group try to find information about DIO's hideout, Joseph learns that Holy's condition has worsened and has only a few more days to live. Meanwhile, Hol Horse and Boingo stalk them. Tohth gives Hol Horse the absurd prediction that he will have a chance to kill the group by sticking his fingers up Polnareff's nose but their dispute is interrupted when Polnareff himself confronts Hol Horse. Polnareff also almost discovers Boingo but the distraction allows Hol Horse to actually shove his fingers up Polnareff's nose. However, the rest of the Joestar Group is now heading in his direction, leaving him uncertain how the rest of the prophecy is supposed to be fulfilled.

Commentary
Hol Horse and Boingo make for a grotesque duo which ends up being really funny. Boingo pukes a lot of stuff without stopping, but it strangely ends up looking good and it lays out the foundation of their relationship.(laughs)
We've had barely enough time to learn that Holy won't have much time left that the fight against Hol Horse starts in the corner of an alley in Cairo. About the streets and the city scapes, I recommend you to consult the background designs if you can. They are real paintings, truly an excellent work.
At the end, Hol Horse sticks his fingers in Polnareff's nose for a still obscure reason. Of course we'll end the episode on this. (laughs).
It's the second time that we use a special ending with this episode. In reality, the song had been recorded six months prior. So Hidenobu Kiuchi (Hol Horse VA) and Motoko Kumai (Boingo) have waited a long time before hearing themselves sing on TV.
