Stone Ocean - Episode 28
Time for Heaven: Three Days Until the New Moon (天国の時 新月まであと3日, Tengoku no Toki Shingetsu made Ato Mikka) is the twenty-eighth episode of Stone Ocean and the one-hundred-eightieth episode of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure anime. The episode covers from Chapter 118 to Chapter 120 and 8 pages of Chapter 121 of the original manga.
As Enrico Pucci and Donatello Versus discover the latter's Stand ability, Jolyne and Ermes finally arrive at their hideout. Chasing the priest into a mysterious hole, the two heroes find themselves inside the memory of a crashing plane, with only minutes remaining until the explosion.
Summary
In Orlando 3 days after the evasion, a child is brought to the Florida Lucky Land West Hospital. At the same time, Jolyne, Ermes and Emporio arrive at the hospital. Ermes wonder if Pucci is really in the hospital but Jolyne is sure of it, sensing his presence in the building. She tells Emporio to deliver Jotaro's memory DISC to the Speedwagon Foundation. Emporio wants to come with Jolyne but Jolyne needs the disc delivered and she gives a cellphone taken from Rikiel to the boy.
In the hospital, Pucci looks at a fish flan dish and tells his companion, a man named Donatello Versus to taste the dish and tell him whether it contains shellfish. Donatella tastes the dish and lists the ingredients, but finally tastes the sauce and deems it made with scallops. Pucci also wants to examine Donatello's body from up close and confirms a few data, notably some similitudes between them. Donatello asks what powers he possesses and says that he feels someone approaching, but Pucci is not worried. While Jolyne and Ermes are in the corridor, Pucci speaks about the vagaries of Fate. Donatello suddenly sees a hand and a face coming out of the fish flan. The one coming out of the flan seems to inexplicably be the child from earlier, who reveals that it was his father who shot him, and a bullet bursts out of the child, shooting through the bedroom's door and hitting the father. Jolyne notices it and looks inside the bedroom with Ermes.
Looking at the evidence, Ermes thinks of a simple shooting and not a Stand attack, but Jolyne thinks that it may be the awakening of a Stand ability. Kicking the door in, Jolyne sees a large sinkhole on the floor of the bedroom. She wants to rush in but Ermes grabs her shoulder and advises her to first examine things through. They find a torch and see that the sinkhole leads to a tunnel. Ermes wants to lure the enemy out since the hole is an obvious trap, but Jolyne thinks Pucci could just wait for the new moon or escape while they wait in fear. Jolyne gives Ermes the end of a string and tells her to pull at the first signal while she jumps down and crawls inside of the tunnel. Jolyne suddenly finds a spoon and realizes she's now inside of a plane.
Looking at a newspaper, Jolyne reads the date "July 21st, 2005". Looking through a window, she also sees that she is still underground somehow, and catches a glimpse of Pucci, Donatello and his Stand. Donatello sends his Stand Under World to cut Jolyne's string, prompting her to call Ermes for help. Ermes finally hears Jolyne and pulls, making Jolyne go through the hull of the plane. Jolyne is able to attack but Under World phases through the earth to avoid the attack. Under World tries to cut the string but Jolyne sends a pen she's stolen right into Under World's neck, making it retreat. Pucci advises Donatello to back down and let Jolyne flee so that they can stay in the hole until the new moon, but this secretly annoys Donatello. Ermes pulls Jolyne towards the surface but she suddenly sees Sports Maxx on the string. Maxx taunts her and grabs Ermes, pulling her in. Maxx explains that the soil remembers everything from individual deaths to entire catastrophic events, and he explains that Under World can bring back those memories to the surface. Ermes punches Maxx but she falls together with Jolyne. Thus, the two of them find themselves inside of the plane. Trapped, they hear the stewardess announce that they will crash soon. Jolyne tries to threaten the stewardess but she's horrified to see everyone starting to burn. Indeed, Ermes remembers the incident and realizes that they are about to relive this memory.
Outside the plane, Pucci feels the presence of Weather Report and asks if Donatello could accelerate the plane crash. This annoys Donatello, who cannot mess with the memory. There are 2 minutes left until the crash.
