Ermes's Sticker, Part 1 (エルメェスのシール その①, Erumesu no Shīru Sono 1), originally A New Awakening (新たなる目覚め, Arata naru Mezame) in the WSJ release, is the twenty-first chapter of Stone Ocean and the six hundred fifteenth chapter of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga.

Summary

In order to retrieve her father's Stand and memory DISCs, Jolyne has decided not to escape. Five years are added to her prison sentence for attempting an escape, and she is also sent to solitary confinement for several weeks.

While sleeping, Ermes's money is stolen. She ways up angrily, but is distracted as she realizes that she is in the sickbay. She remembers picking up a strange amulet, which cut her hand, so she sold it to Gwess. Afterwards, she developed a high fever and was sent to the sickbay. Ermes looks at her hand and sees a sticker attached to it. When she peels it off, more appear under it. She throws a sticker on the ground in frustration, and it lands on her shoe. A third shoe appears. When she looks at her hand, she notices she has six fingers. She takes off the sticker on her finger, and the extra finger rapidly merges with her index finger, leaving it with a minor laceration.

Flinching from the pain, Ermes lets the sticker land on her bedpan, creating another bedpan right beside it. When she takes it off, the two merge together and shatter. She begins to realize the nature of her ability—the stickers produced from her hand duplicate objects. If the sticker is removed, the duplicate and the original will spring back together and fuse, causing damage. That night, Ermes uses her ability to get back at the janitor who stole her money. She duplicates his mop and waits for him to approach before removing the sticker, merging the mops together with his neck caught in between.

I planted tomato seedlings. I planted three of them and named them "Toma-chan No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3," starting from the east.
