Hirohiko Araki's Summer Greeting

Greetings! Manga-ka Hirohiko Araki here. It's finally summer 2022! So, everyone, how are you all doing? Your support for the anime adaptation of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 6—Stone Ocean is something I truly appreciate! I hope you all have a great summer, spent with none other than Stone Ocean's hero, Jolyne. It'll probably be sweltering, so please be safe and well, and have a wonderful time!

Araki Sensei's Special Anniversary Message

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's anime adaptation is celebrating its 10th year. It's also my 35th year of writing the manga. The protagonists in Parts 1, 2, 3, and beyond, connect across generations, all, so to speak, descended from a single family, as part of a single bloodline. The first protagonist, the hero of Part 1, is muscular, and then gradually, by around Part 5 with Giorno, we see a slim, more realistic, true-to-life young man. In Part 6, of course, the hero is a young woman. I wanted her to be strong. Now looking back, over the past 35 years, the heroes, the way I drew them, kept changing. That might be part of the appeal of the series, or at least I think so. I hope people will continue to watch, read, and enjoy JoJo. Last but not least, my best wishes to everyone. Thanks for watching.

Araki Sensei Shares Special Illustration

To share with all of you there in L.A. at Anime Expo 2022, I've drawn a special illustration. As you can see, I've drawn Part 6's hero, Jolyne, together with her Stand, Stone Ocean. Like a sort of guardian angel, she's right there with Jolyne. It differs slightly from the anime's art, but in the manga you'll see these are the kinds of drawings I draw. Hope you like it!
