Stone Ocean - Episode 35
C-Moon, Part 2 (CーMOON その②, Shī Mūn Sono 2) is the thirty-fifth episode of Stone Ocean and the one-hundred-eighty-seventh episode of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure anime. The episode covers from Chapter 145 to Chapter 148 of the original manga.
C-Moon has dealt a lethal wound to Jolyne, but Enrico Pucci senses that she is still alive. Despite Anasui's attack and Jotaro quickly approaching, Pucci is determined to eliminate Jolyne and the Joestar bloodline.
Summary
As Pucci runs back outside, he strikes a nearby globe which turns inside out. He wonders how such a fatal hit was avoided by Jolyne and deduces that it may be the Joestar bloodline that saved her. Refusing to let her interfere with his and DIO's goal, he regains his composure, confident that fate will side with him. He finds a piece of her pants stuck on a shard of glass and feels that she is nearby. He notices Anasui's presence behind him and warns him not to take a step closer. Not seeing him as an obstacle, Pucci merely sends C-Moon's fist to his face... when it is revealed that he had attacked the corpse of a random bystander, in which Anasui had used Diver Down to change the bone structure to appear as him. The projectiles from the explosion of the dummy Anasui fly toward Pucci and manages to nick his right shoulder. Inside the building behind him, Anasui reveals himself from the shadows once more, telling him that Diver Down can submerge with more than just walls or the ground. With Pucci entering his Stand's range, he punches his face only to miss when Pucci turns his face inside out.
Still, Pucci sees Anasui as nothing more than a fly that he can simply swat away. He sends C-Moon to strike him. As Anasui dodges and nearly sends himself floating away, Pucci feels a hand touch his face — Jolyne Cujoh has returned. In a panic, C-Moon rapidly punches in front of him but she disappears. He sees a bloodied trail going inside the building and observes that she is wounded. Following her, he notes that he must get rid of her immediately before Jotaro Kujo and her allies join the battle. Pucci then opens a bottle of ethyl alcohol, allowing it to pour in zero gravity, and lights it on fire to drive Jolyne out with the explosion. However, she catches him off guard by grabbing his foot through a drain, and C-Moon bashes the area only to realize that it was Stone Free's string. Realizing that she is behind him, he turns to hit her but she manages to strangle him down. Pucci repositions his feet to adjust the center of gravity and utilize it to send burning pieces of furniture at her.
Jolyne finally releases his neck and C-Moon pounds her arms. All of a sudden, strings unravel from her arms in the figure of a Möbius strip. Appearing from the shadows, she reveals herself almost unscathed from its previous punch through her heart by reshaping her chest into a Möbius strip using Stone Free. By creating these loops with non-orientable surfaces, she can counteract each attack from C-Moon as it creates an infinity with no front to back and no inside to outside. Pucci compares Jolyne's genius to the first human who ate mushrooms, but also wonders if that person had only gotten lucky because of their desperation to not starve. Another battle ensues.
Seeing Jolyne successfully avoiding being turned inside out, Pucci mocks her that her Möbius strip won't be enough to save her, since he is still the center of gravity in which he can use to send objects hurling at her. He grabs a gun from the corpse of a security guard and shoots at her — at the same time, Anasui attempts to approach but is distracted by Emporio flying towards him. When all hope seems lost, suddenly, time seems to freeze. Jotaro appears just in time to adjust the bullet's trajectory and grab Jolyne out of the way. A startled Pucci, who finds a strange harpoon on a wall, is punched to the face with Star Platinum and is thrown backwards. Ermes also reveals herself, telling him that the Speedwagon Foundation had sent the harpoon at the Kennedy Space Center which she used to duplicate with Kiss in order to counteract the changing gravity. With Pucci surrounded by Jolyne and her allies, the battle seems to have flipped onto their side.
However, Pucci grins. He rises up to the sky with a new profound resolve — he no longer needs to wait a full 36 hours and only needs the gravitational force of the new moon to complete C-Moon's power. He begins to count prime numbers as Anasui dives to stop him. Emporio also notices that the sideways gravity has not changed. As all of it happens, Jotaro commends Jolyne in his arms for having grown up. He advises Ermes to use the gun and shoot Pucci before he stops time and throws a harpoon at him to catch him off guard. Despite this, Pucci is able to dodge during the time stop and gets away to the exhibition space shuttle. The shuttle also floats with him, accelerating his trajectory towards completing his Stand.
Reaching the right elevation and position, Pucci suddenly glows, now with a new power growing inside him.

Trivia
- In certain shots of this episode, C-Moon has a vein-like texture under its right eye, resembling its early appearance. The inconsistency is seemingly an animation error as the key art for the Stand doesn't feature the under-eye texture.
