The Nijimura Brothers (3) (虹村兄弟 その3, Nijimura Kyodai Sono San) is the seventy-ninth episode of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure anime and the fifth episode of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable. It cover Chapter 281 through Chapter 284 of the manga.

Summary

After Keicho is defeated, Koichi wants to destroy the Bow and Arrow so that no one else will be killed and he discovers a room with a monstrous creature in it - along with the Bow and Arrow. Keicho enters the room and says that he is his father. Ten years ago, when the Nijimura family were in a bad economic condition, Keicho's father sold his soul to DIO in exchange for money. But DIO didn't trust him and implanted his cells inside of him, making him turn into a beast. Since then he has been rummaging in a box and then crying every day. Keicho wants to find a Stand user that can kill his father so that he can die like a man because whenever he tries to kill him he just regenerates.

Josuke restores the box that Keicho's father has been rummaging through and reveals that he has been trying to piece a picture of the whole Nijimura family together. Josuke tells Keicho to try and find a Stand user that can heal his father instead of kill him. Josuke wants to destroy the Bow and Arrow but Keicho is unwilling to give it up. Okuyasu joins the persuasion until a Stand comes out of the outlet and tries to steal the Bow and Arrow from Okuyasu's hands. Keicho knocks him away and the Stand, who introduces itself as Red Hot Chili Pepper, absorbs Keicho into the electricity, killing him.

Meanwhile, an anonymous caller calls Jotaro at his hotel, telling him that he is the one who stole the Bow and Arrow from Keicho. The caller presses Jotaro to leave Morioh, but once Jotaro starts questioning him, the phone is electrocuted and the call ends. The next day, Okuyasu arrives at Josuke's house to join him in going to school. Josuke is taken aback with Okuyasu's childish enthusiasm while Josuke's mother offers to make Okuyasu coffee while her son finishes getting ready. Okuyasu then expresses how he thinks Josuke's mother is pretty attractive as Josuke humorously slides to the floor.

Manga/Anime Differences

  • Nijimura father's transformation scene is extended.
  • Okuyasu meeting Josuke for school is added.
  • Here, Keicho's recollection begins 11 years before (1988) instead of the manga's 10 years (1989), which mean the year before his dad's transformation instead of starting immediately there. Probably done for a clearer story telling, since the story is now told in chronolgical order instead going 10 years back then a couple before then to go back to 10 year before.
  • Keicho's death scene is slightly extended, with electrical interference effects added to his face.
