Manga/Anime Differences

• Red Hot Chili Pepper's codpiece was edited to wrap underneath its legs as opposed to sticking out, like in the manga. This was most likely changed to avoid looking obscene, as originally the codpiece had a phallic appearance.
• Removed Josuke's line about Chili Pepper knowing how he sucks at video games
• Changed Josuke's video game to a Gradius-like shmup.

Trivia

• The title of this episode was changed to "Chili Pepper, Part 1" by Warner Bros. Animation's American branch to avoid possible legal action.
