Nisio Isin (西尾 維新, Nishio Ishin) stylized as NISIOISIN to emphasize the palindrome, is a Japanese novelist, manga author, and screenplay writer.

Nisio was involved with Hirohiko Araki's works on several occasions, notably the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure franchise. He is credited for writing light-novels and spin-offs such as JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE OVER HEAVEN or Cool Shock Old B.T.

Nisio Isin is mostly known as the author of various light-novel or manga series, such as the Monogatari series, the Katanagatari series, the Medaka Box manga series, the Bōkyaku Tantei series, or the Pretty Boy Detective Club series.
