TV Anime

The first season of the TV anime series produced by David Production was released on nine DVDs and Blu-rays from January 30 to September 27, 2013, with the Blu-ray releases having the option of English subtitles. Each volume of the TV anime features the artwork of two characters on the front and back of the case, while the limited edition Blu-rays typically come with bonus content. An English dub provided by Bang Zoom! Entertainment and distributed by Warner Bros. was released on September 22, 2015 as a DVD set consisting of all 26 episodes. A Blu-ray version was released by VIZ Media on August 8, 2017 and by Kazé France on March 15, 2017 in France. A special limited edition that abridges the entire first season into three movies, titled JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Re-Edited, was released on March 26, 2014 in Japan and March 15, 2017 in France. Selecta Vision released the first season in Spain across two DVD/Blu-ray sets: the Phantom Blood portion released on September 27, 2017, with the Battle Tendency portion following suit on November 6, 2017. Viz Media and Madman Entertainment published the season on Blu-ray on December 5, 2018 in Australia, and Manga Entertainment brought the release to the United Kingdom on January 13, 2020. Special Blu-ray box sets for each half of the season, which included bonus materials and additional footage, were released in Japan on September 13 and September 27 of 2017.

The first half of the TV anime adaptation of Stardust Crusaders was released on Blu-ray in Japan from July 30 to December 19, 2014. The second half of the season was released as a separate run on Blu-ray from April 22 to September 30, 2015 titled Battle in Egypt, for a total of 12 volumes across both halves. A Blu-ray version of the first half was released by Viz Media on July 3, 2018, with the second half releasing on January 22, 2019. Kazé France published the first half on June 21, 2017 and the second half on August 30, 2017. Selecta Vision split the series into four releases, each having 12 episodes, from February 28, 2018 to January 30, 2019. Viz Media and Madman Entertainment published the season on Blu-ray in 2019 in Australia, and Manga Entertainment brought the release to the United Kingdom in early 2020. Special Blu-ray box sets for each half of the season, which included bonus materials and additional footage, were released in Japan on October 25 and November 29 of 2017.

The TV anime adaptation of Diamond is Unbreakable was released on Blu-ray in Japan from June 22, 2016 to June 28, 2017, for a total of 13 volumes. Viz Media released the first half of the season on Blu-ray on July 2, 2019, with the second half released half a year later on January 28, 2020. Kazé France published the first half on May 16, 2018 and the second half on August 22, 2018. Viz Media and Madman Entertainment published the first half of the season on Blu-ray on October 9, 2019 in Australia, with the second half following on April 15, 2020. Special Blu-ray box sets for each half of the season, which included bonus materials and additional footage, were released in Japan on April 29, 2020.

Golden Wind's TV anime adaptation was released on Blu-ray in Japan from December 19, 2018 to November 13, 2019, across a total of 10 volumes. Viz Media released the first half of the season on Blu-ray on September 1, 2020, with the second half following on February 16, 2021. Kazé France published the first half on May 4, 2021 and the second half on September 7, 2021. Viz Media and Madman Entertainment published the first half of the season on Blu-ray on October 9, 2019 in Australia, with the second half following on April 15, 2020. Special Blu-ray box sets for each half of the season, which included bonus materials and additional footage, were released in Japan on August 31, 2022.

Due to Netflix's exclusive licensing rights to Stone Ocean's TV anime adaptation, releases of the season have taken a different approach from past seasons. The season was planned to release across 19 DVDs made available for rental with help from distributor Klock Worx; though six DVDs comprising the first third of the season were published, the remaining 13 have not been released, and no additional information about them has been made available. On November 30, 2022, the first third of the season was released in the special Blu-ray box set format used by other seasons after their initial run, with the second releasing on February 24, 2023 and the third set to release on May 31 of the same year. No plans have been announced to release the season physically outside Japan.

All Viz Media, Kazé UK, and Madman Entertainment releases feature bilingual audio (Japanese and English) with English subtitles. All initial Kazé France releases feature only the original Japanese version with French subtitles with reissues of Parts 1-3 plus the initial releases of Part 5 now being bilingual (Japanese and French with French subtitles), all Kazé Germany releases feature German audio and subtitles in the English and French options' place, and all Selecta Vision releases are bilingual as well, but with Spanish audio and subtitles instead.

All Blu-Ray releases feature uncensored footage, sharper action sequences, and retouched art, among other miscellaneous changes. The magnitude of the differences depends on the exact episode, but the further into a season's run one looks, the greater and more frequent the changes become.

Original Video Animation

The OVA series produced by Studio A.P.P.P. features 13 volumes in total: the first six-volume series was released from 1993 to 1994, while a prequel seven-volume series was released from 2000 to 2002. Both series were planned to be released in chronological order in North America by A.P.P.P. subsidiary Super Techno Arts. Despite numerous delays before and during publication, the English dub of the series was eventually released on six DVD volumes from 2003 to 2005. A box set of the complete series in French was released by Déclic Images in 2003. The series was also released in Italian by Yamato Video from 2004 to 2006.

The first episode of the Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan OVA, adapting Episode 5: Millionaire Village, was distributed on September 20, 2017 to applicants who had purchased the entirety of the Diamond is Unbreakable Blu-ray/DVD set. A second episode adapting Episode 2: Mutsu-kabe Hill was bundled with the second volume of the Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan manga, which released on July 19, 2018.

On March 25, 2020, two more episodes adapting Episode 9: The Run and Episode 16: At a Confessional were released on Blu-ray and DVD, alongside a collector's edition including all four episodes on Blu-ray with an additional booklet.

Live-Action

A production of the stage version of Under Execution, Under Jailbreak was recorded and released on DVD and Blu-ray in Japan on August 17, 2016.

The live-action film adaptation of Diamond is Unbreakable was released on DVD and Blu-ray on March 23, 2018. A collector's edition Blu-ray, which featured promotional stills of the characters and locations as well as a special booklet, was released on the same day. Selecta Vision brought the film to Spain on DVD and Blu-ray on September 26, 2018. Viz Media released a Blu-ray version of the film on February 11, 2020.

The first season of the Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan drama was released on Blu-ray in Japan on October 22, 2021, bundled with special art and interviews with the cast and crew behind the drama. The second season followed suit on July 22, 2022.
