Jotaro Kujo
Jotaro Kujo (空条 承太郎 , Kūjō Jōtarō) is a fictional character created by Hirohiko Araki as the protagonist of Part III, Stardust Crusaders, of the manga series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, which debuted in 1989. He is the first JoJo to be introduced with a stand and is the most well known hero of the series.
Appearance
The superficial theme of Jotaro's attire has changed at each stage of his unique journey through four separate parts of the series. Ever present are a trademark visored, roughly circular flat-topped cap (similar to a kepi) and trenchcoat-like or -length jacket.
Stardust Crusaders
Jotaro keeps a trenchcoat-length gakuran/tsume-eri with a tall, stiff collar; pierced on the left with a golden chain. His cap is adorned near the centre with a golden button; and a rectangular golden piece featuring a palm design (reminiscent of abhayamudra) on its left (later replicated elsewhere in JoJo media and as a trademark of Araki's). His cap also seems to be torn laterally roughly midway on his head, without a clear distinction as to where the cap ends and his hair begins. Underneath his coat he wears a fitted sleeveless shirt. He wears a pair of slim-fitting pants that produce short, angular flares at the very bottom of the leg; and a pair of dress shoes. He wears two (often differently colored) belts of an alternately colored tesselated triangular pattern. As per tradition, Jotaro's clothes appear in various color combinations between color illustrations,[7]but the most common scheme consists of a pink or purple shirt, and navy blue hat, coat and pants.
Diamond is Unbreakable / Vento Aureo
At 28, Jotaro's adapted student uniform is obsolete, but his new outfit is basically very similar. His hat, trenchcoat and pants are lightly shaded or totally white. The chain on his collar is gone; and his belts bear a black/gold pattern, while his cuffs now feature their former triangular pattern. His pants are much baggier in a fashion shared with Josuke, and he now sports multicolored dress shoes. Under his coat, he transitions within Part 4 from a light undershirt to a long-sleeved black shirt and vest.
Stone Ocean
At 39, Jotaro's outfit now speaks of a higher fashion, with differently textured and patterned items and a broader color scheme. His golden collar chain is returned in a more delicate, curtailed form, and he keeps a single leather belt. His shirt, hat, shoulders, collar and cuffs all bear five-pointed stars. His shoes and pants are of a piece in a snakeskin texture. He also sports a white watch on his left wrist.[citation needed]
