"Dig up the roots and leaves"... I understand the "dig up the roots" part... But what the hell does the "dig up the leaves" part mean?! Ghiaccio (ギアッチョ, Giatcho) was revealed as a new playable character for All-Star Battle R on August 24, 2022, during the game's Part 5 Reveal Trailer.[1] However, Ghiaccio was accidentally revealed earlier when a Japanese Youtuber uploaded two videos that showed photos of the back of the game box.[3]
Having neither previously appeared in All-Star Battle nor Eyes of Heaven as a playable character, he has an original moveset based on his appearance in Vento Aureo.
Ghiaccio also once again appears as an explanatory character, this time in the game's "JoJo Glossary".
In the English versions of All-Star Battle R, Ghiaccio's Stand, White Album, is localized as "White Ice", carried on from its first official usage in All-Star Battle.[4]
Ghiaccio has 950 health and use the Stand (スタンド, Sutando) Battle Style. While he does summon and dismiss White Album like other users of this style, he does not summon a separate entity. Instead, Ghiaccio wears his stand. As such, White Album is not dismissed when active and Ghiaccio is knocked down outside of cinematic knockdowns. Also, when wearing White Album, Ghiaccio's movement speed is increased and he can run in both directions. When combined with his strong ability to force opponents to guess how to react on wake-up (vortex), Ghiaccio makes for an effective rushdown character.
Ghiaccio can instantly create or melt away White Album's ice armor, altering his available abilities. He gains faster movement speed and increased jump distance while White Album is active.

Increases attack power and the amount the HH Gauge fills each time damage is taken. Also adds superarmor to the startup of normal attacks and skills, meaning opponent's attacks cannot knock Ghiaccio back during this time.

The attack button inputted determines how long the frost lasts, with higher strength buttons causing it to linger in the air for a few seconds If spaced well, Ghiaccio can use the attack as a delayed projectile or trap. This skill can only be performed once Ghiaccio guards an incoming attack (known as a 'guard-cancel' skill). Expending 1/2 of a bar of Heart Heat, he instantly encases himself in a thick layer of ice, pushing the opponent back a moderate distance. This allows Ghiaccio to defensively repel the opponent away from himself, interrupting many forms of offense.

Ghiaccio can ice skate at high speeds by freezing the ground in front as he moves, allowing him to quickly advance in both forwards and backwards directions. This makes him one of the only six characters in the game capable of running in the opposite direction, the others being Joseph Joestar (both versions), Iggy, and Hol Horse, and Shigekiyo Yangu.

Ghiaccio strikes the ground, causing a series of ice spikes to erupt in a forward wave. If the opponent is caught, they'll be knocked into the air. This attack deals significant chip damage (or damage dealt through a successful guard). The attack button inputted determines the range of the attack, inversely affecting the skill's start-up length and recovery speed. (Flash Cancel comboable)
Ultracold temperature freezes the moisture in the air.

While in mid-air, Ghiaccio freezes the air below himself to generate a small ice projectile, then vaults off of it in a double-jump as it drops straight below. The falling projectile is a middle attack that cannot be blocked crouching, and can also strike a downed opponent. The attack button inputted determines the direction of Ghiaccio's leap:
Light (): Ghiaccio leaps backwards during the attack, allowing him to attack and retreat from the opponent in a single maneuver.
Medium (): Ghiaccio leaps straight upwards during the attack.
Heavy (): Ghiaccio leaps forwards during the attack, allowing him to cross large forward distances in mid-air and possibly switch to the opponent's other side before landing.

Ghiaccio touches the ground with his freezing power, causing a layer of ice to generate and cover the ground in a forward wave. If the opponent touches the furthest ice sheet, they'll be momentarily frozen and left crumpling, vulnerable to attack. White Album Gently Weeps!

Ghiaccio activates White Album Gently Weeps, causing floating crystals of frozen air to surround him. The stock of Heart Heat spent becomes a draining timer, canceling the ability upon depleting. While Gently Weeps is active, Ghiaccio will counter all non-GHA strike attacks upon guarding them, causing any melee strikes to freeze the opponent and leave them crumpling, open to attack. Guarding against non-HHA/GHA projectiles also reflects them, as they are bounced between the floating ice crystals before firing back at the opponent. However, Ghiaccio must remain in Stand ON for the duration of this HHA and cannot deactivate his ice armor; Upon deactivation, he will briefly release the ability and his ice armor in exhaustion, leaving him vulnerable and switching him to Stand OFF.
As HHA can be universally canceled into from most attacks including skills, this gives Ghiaccio a means to extend combos by chaining into its activation, instantly canceling an attack not unlike a Flash Cancel and allowing him to continue his offense from there.

Ghiaccio brags about White Album's ability to freeze anything in the world as he emits a dense mist of frost that scatters in front of himself, lasting for some time. If it connects, the opponent is frozen over, allowing him to begin his infamous, longwinded soliloquy about city names in different languages while speaking nonchalantly: He points out how non-English languages pronounce "Paris" without the "s" sound as it would be pronounced in French, but then notes that non-English languages use "Venice", the English term, instead of "Venezia". Ghiaccio's calm demeanor abruptly breaks and he starts relentlessly and viciously punching his frozen-solid opponent, feeling grievously insulted by the inconsistency and demanding people use the Italian term. At the height of his fury, he reels back his fist, calls the opponent a dumbass, and delivers one final punch to shatter their frozen body to pieces. Upon activation of this GHA, Ghiaccio will automatically switch to Stand OFF before attacking; If he attempts the attack while White Album Gently Weeps is active, the HHA will immediately cancel and the Heart Heat spent will be lost.

An antagonist from Part 5: Vento Aureo, with the StandWhite Album, and a member of La Squadra Esecuzioni. Easily enraged by nature, he is often angered by illogical idioms. He is defeated by Mista's resolve and finished off by Giorno after pursuing their car.[5]
Stand of Ghiaccio, it has the ability to condense the moisture in the air to extremely low temperatures, forming an armor of ice around its User. This armor is so strong that even bullets cannot pierce it.
An Italian mafia gang of which Diavolo is the boss. Translates literally to "Passion" from Italian. Most of Naples, including hotel, the port, undertakers, construction and transport industries, and restaurants, and so on, are all under its control.
