Wamuu (ワムウ,Wamū) was confirmed for All-Star Battle R during the game's initial announcement trailer.[1] He was also 1 of 15 playable characters during the Evo 2022 Demo in August 5.[3]
Although his moveset remains fundamentally the same as his from All-Star Battle, a few tweaks have been made to both balance the character and fit him into the overall gameplay changes that All-Star Battle R brought along.
As Wamuu's one and only voice actor, debuting in the Battle Tendency anime adaptation and later voicing Wamuu again in All-Star Battle, Akio Otsuka reprises his role in this game as well. As with the majority of the game's roster, voicelines for Wamuu were either added or re-recorded.

Wamuu's theme is A True Warrior (真の格闘者,Shin no Kakutōsha), and can be unlocked in-game by landing the "Cat Stance" skill as Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli in All-Star Battle Mode's Caesar vs Wamuu Boss Battle.
An antagonist of Part 2: Battle Tendency. He is one of the Pillar Men. User of the Wind Mode, and so powerful that he has been dubbed a combat genius. He defeats Caesar, but out of respect for his combat skills, he lets his blood bubble go.[4] Later, after a ferocious battle with Joseph, he is defeated.[5]
