Pannacotta Fugo (パンナコッタ・フーゴ, Pannakotta Fūgo) was confirmed to return for All-Star Battle R during the game's initial announcement trailer,[1] this time as part of the base roster.
His moveset is fundamentally the same as his from All-Star Battle, although with a few tweaks being made to both balance the character and fit him into the overall gameplay changes that All-Star Battle R brought.
In the English version of All-Star Battle R, the name of Fugo's Stand, Purple Haze, is localized as "Purple Smoke", the same name used in the original All-Star Battle.
Junya Enoki reprises his role from the Golden Wind anime, replacing Hisafumi Oda as Fugo and Hisao Egawa as Purple Haze. As with the majority of the game's roster, voice lines for Fugo were either added or re-recorded.
Fugo has 900 health and uses the Stand (スタンド, Sutando) Battle Style, which allows him to freely summon and withdraw his Stand Purple Haze, dynamically changing his moveset in the process.
Fugo summons Purple Haze to perform a crouching uppercut that hits twice and lifts the opponent upwards. This move is useful for continuing combos off of ground bounces.

Homicidal Virus (殺人ウイルス)

An unblockable purple cloud that inflicts gradual damage over time for a set period, with a character's health gauge turning a purple color to signify the infection. Fugo will also suffer from its effects if he comes into contact with the cloud. It is summoned when one of Purple Haze's six Capsules are broken or Fugo uses his HHA.

Facing away from his opponent, Fugo claims that he's made a decision worth betting everything on before turning around and revealing a Capsule between his teeth. He forcefully bites down to crush the Capsule and blows the Homicidal Virus cloud forward. If they are hit, the opponent will cover their face and scream in agony as they begin rapidly melting from the Virus, with a camera shot of their skin breaking down and dissolving being shown. Purple Haze Distortion, releasing all of its rage, begins to violently beat them, spreading the Virus into their system even more. The Stand finishes the attack by unleashing a spinning punch that sends the opponent flying as they're completely eradicated. If Purple Haze has not already evolved into Purple Haze Distortion, executing this GHA will automatically do so, regardless if the attack successfully connects or not. This GHA also completely reloads Fugo's Capsules.
Of note is that Fugo's use of a Capsule between his teeth to unleash the viral attack references his first demonstration of Distortion's power during his final battle against Massimo Volpe in Purple Haze Feedback, while Distortion's violent follow-up assault is in reference to the battle with Illuso at the same time. Along with Funny Valentine's GHA, Fugo's is the only special move to alter the contrast of the screen, resulting in a more black and white combination of colors to add more intensity to the special and obscure the sight of his opponent dissolving.

Purple Haze's barrage is shorter for all variants, though it is most noticeable with the variant. To go along with this, the number of hits increases by two between variants instead of only one. However, when Purple Haze has been evolved into Purple Haze Distortion, the number of hits is the same as they were in All-Star Battle for all variants except the variant, where it has one less. The Stand also moves a distance forward that increases as the strength of the attack button inputted does instead of staying in the same position for all variants. The angle opponents are launched is different as well, with them being launched higher into the air and a shorter distance away.

Additionally, the translation of this HHA's name has been extended. Previously it was "Attack like an explosion..." in place of "Attack like an explosion... and retreat like a storm!".
Fugo's first ten Taunt and Victory Lines are included in his Taunt and Victory Poses respectively, with two lines per pose; the first two poses of each type are unlocked by default, while the other three of each must be purchased for 450 G each. The remaining lines of both types can be purchased as a single set for 300 G. Fugo's Tag Lines can be purchased as a set for 140 G.

Fugo's theme is Real Trust (真実の信頼, Shinjitsu o Miteiru Me), and can be unlocked in-game by using the "Purple Haze Distortion" special in All-Star Battle Mode's Fugo vs. Narancia Ghirga Normal Battle.
A character in Part 5: Vento Aureo. His Stand is Purple Haze. He is a gentleman by nature, but becomes violent and uncontrollable when enraged. Unable to follow Bucciarati after he betrays the boss, he withdraws from the group at San Giorgio Maggiore.[5]

Fixed a bug where other attacks would not do damage if they connected at the same time a tick of Homicidal Virus damage occurred.
Fixed a bug where the damage over time would increase significantly if the opponent became afflicted with the virus at the same time stopped time took effect.

This attack now launches opponents.
Jumping Heavy Attack [Stand On]
This attack will now cause a groundbounce.
"This display of my powers will be the last thing you ever see!" special
Increased startup.
When Purple Haze Distortion is active, this special will now have Super Armor during its startup until the hitbox spawns.
Adjusted the attack weight value that determines when a Clash occurs to fix an issue where this special would clash with skills.
Fixed an issue where the move would do chip damage when guarded.
"You total NUMBSKULL!" skill
Increased damage.
Increased amount of damage dealt to the guard gauge.
"Got You!" skill
Decreased startup on and versions.
When Purple Haze Distortion is active, this skill will now have Super Armor during its startup until the hitbox spawns.

The first hit of this HHA will now forcibly stand opponents, even if it hits a bouncing opponent.
This change is intended to help ensure that more hits of the HHA will land against a ground-bouncing opponent if the first hit successfully connects.
