Jotaro Kujo
Jotaro Kujo (空条 承太郎 , Kūjō Jōtarō) is the protagonist of Part III: Stardust Crusaders. He is the first JoJo introduced with a Stand, and the most well-known character of the series.
Appearance
Jotaro generally appears as a very tall (195 cm/6'5"), handsome and well-built man. He has dark hair of middling volume, a strong jaw; bold eyebrows, and light eyes.
The superficial theme of Jotaro's attire has changed at each stage of his unique journey through four separate parts of the series. Ever present are a trademark visored, ornamented cap seemingly torn at the back, blending with his hair; and a trenchcoat-length jacket.
Stardust Crusaders
Jotaro keeps a trenchcoat-length gakuran/tsume-eri with a tall, stiff collar; pierced on the left with a golden chain. His cap is adorned near the centre with a golden button; and a rectangular golden piece featuring a palm design (reminiscent of abhayamudra) on its left (later replicated elsewhere in JoJo media and as a trademark of Araki's). His cap also seems to be torn at the back, without a clear distinction as to where the cap ends and his hair begins. Underneath his coat he wears a fitted sleeveless shirt. He wears a pair of slim-fitting ¥20,000[1] pants that produce short, angular flares at the very bottom of the leg; and a pair of dress shoes. He wears two (often differently colored) belts of an alternately colored tesselated triangular pattern. As per tradition, Jotaro's clothes appear in various color combinations between color illustrations,[2]but the most common scheme consists of a pink or purple shirt, and navy blue hat, coat and pants.
Diamond is Unbreakable / Vento Aureo
At 29, Jotaro's adapted student uniform is obsolete. During this arc his outfit undergoes a few transitions; all featuring Jotaro's now-trademark cap and coat, and an overall light or white palette between hat, coat and pants. The chain on his collar is gone, and his pants are much baggier in a fashion shared with Josuke. For his first outfit his undershirt is also light or white, later black; while his hat, roughly circular and flat-topped like a kepi, changes to support a variety of golden emblems including a palm enclosed by a heart, a "J", a dolphin, and, later, a row of venus symbols (♀), adapted to include an arrow at the bottom of the cross.
Stone Ocean
At 42, Jotaro's outfit now speaks of a higher fashion, with differently textured and patterned items and a broader color scheme. His golden collar chain is returned in a more delicate, curtailed form, and he keeps a single leather belt. His shirt, hat, shoulders, collar and cuffs all bear five-pointed stars. His footwear and pants are of a piece in a snakeskin texture.
