Ken Oyanagi (大柳 賢, Oyanagi Ken), aussi surnommé le Garçon au papier-caillou-ciseau (ジャンケン小僧, Janken-kozō), est un antagoniste secondaire de la quatrième partie de JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Diamond is Unbreakable, spécifiquement dans l'arc narratif "Papier-caillou-ciseaux". Le personnage de Ken apparait aussi dans l'adaptation drama de "Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan" dans le même rôle d'antagoniste.

Ken est un garçon que Yoshihiro Kira transforme en manieur de Stand. Il se met alors en tête de défier Rohan Kishibe à papier-caillou-ciseau pour s'affirmer. Avec son Stand Boy II Man, Ken lui vole une partie de son Stand à chaque fois qu'il gagne.

Apparence

Ken Oyanagi est un garçon plutôt petit et de carrure moyenne. Il a des cheveux de longueur moyenne, avec une coiffure plutôt régulière. Il porte une sorte de salopette ample aux jambes courtes laissant ses jambes à découvert, et une seule sangle à l'épaule gauche. Cette salopette est décorée avec plusieurs grosses épingles. Il porte des sandales lui montant aux chevilles et un fin bandeau.

Sur la joue gauche, Ken a un trou béant car c'est là que la Flèche l'a touché.

Dans l'adaptation live action, Ken est encore un petit garçon mais son apparence est altéré. Il a une grande crinière de cheveux noirs en désordres avec plusieurs mèches qui ressortent de sa chevelure. Il porte un T-shirt blanc avec une salopette blanche aux bretelles attachées avec des rangées d'épingles. Il porte aussi une sacoche et un petit bandeau fin noir au front.

Personnalité

Ken Oyanagi souhaite en son for intérieur de devenir un adulte respecté, autant que Rohan Kishibe. Il n'a pas de connaissances sur les Stands au début, mais il apprend vite alors que son match de papier-caillou-ciseau se déroule. Ken est un garçon avec un fort caractère, étant déterminé et son courage se multipliant avec la confiance qu'il a en lui. Ken est capable de prendre un bébé en otage pour défier Rohan. Ken croit fort que la chance est de son côté. En lisant sa biographie avec Heaven's Door, Rohan lit qu'il est somme toute un garçon ordinaire sans aucun problème avec sa famille.

Ken est un petit garçon ordinaire. Selon Heaven's Door, Ken aime lire le Shōnen Jump chaque semaine et est en sixième. Il aime le football, et avait joué au baseball jusqu'à que son coach se soit plaint de ses longs cheveux et qu'il soit partie du club après s'être mouché dans le chapeau du coach. Ken est assez espiègle pour escalader un poteau pour voler des fruits. Il n'aime ni le piment ni l'anpan, mais aime les morceaux de viande gras, a peu du dentiste et du namahage, et n'a jamais utilisé de toilettes publiques. Alors que son match de papier-caillou-ciseau atteint son paroxysme, Ken s'exclame "Good!" comme le personnage de Daniel J. D'Arby.

Dans l'adaptation drama télévisé de son histoire, la personnalité de Ken est altérée. Ken devient un enfant précoce et plutôt malin. Il est un grand fan de la série "Pink Dark Boy" de Rohan Kishibe, aimant notamment le tome 28 et le tome 40 qu'il a relu vingt fois. Ken est obsédé par le chiffre trois qu'il croit être un chiffre parfait. Lorsque Rohan présente Hot Summer Martha avec ses quatre sphères, Ken déteste le design du personnage à tel point qu'il serre instinctivement le poing lorsqu'il voit le voit. Après que Rohan le rejette, Ken en vient à souhaiter que Rohan ne dessine plus. Après avoir acquis un pouvoir spécial, sa personnalité devient plus proche du manga, devenant aussi borné et refusant d'admettre sa défaite avant que Rohan ne montre que la chance soit de son côté. Ken pardonne Rohan lorsque Rohan donne à l'enfant un tome autographé avec le design original de Hot Summer Martha.

Stand

Boy II Man est un Stand humanoïde qui apparaît depuis le trou dans la joue de Ken. Il force Ken et une cible de son choix à jouer à une partie de papier-caillou-ciseaux à trois manches gagnant. A chaque manche gagnée, Ken gagne un tiers du pouvoir de son adversaire. S'il perd la partie, il doit rendre tout le pouvoir.

Histoire

Passé

Ken Oyanagi est un garçon de la ville de Morioh. Il vivait alors une vie ordinaire de petit garçon jusqu'à ce que Yoshihiro Kira croise sa route alors que le garçon vole des fruits en escaladant un poteau téléphonique. La Flèche reconnait alors que Ken est un manieur potentiel et Yoshihiro lui tire dessus sur la joue, le transformant en manieur de Stand. Le garçon se met en tête de battre Rohan à un jeu de papier-caillou-ciseau pour gagner le respect des autres.

Ken défie Rohan

Ken Oyanagi va alors s'approcher de Rohan Kishibe et le harcèle continuellement pour qu'il joue à papier-caillou-ciseau avec lui. A la gare, il demande à jouer une première fois et essaie de lui prendre son taxi. Rohan le transforme en livre avec Heaven's Door mais ne voit rien d'anormal et joue à contrecoeur pour savoir qui va prendre le taxi et gagne avec "pierre". En fait, Ken est un manieur de Stand mais ne le sait pas encore. Plus tard au café Deux Magots, Ken lui vole sa place et commence à geindre dès que Rohan veut la lui reprendre. Ken force ainsi Rohan à jouer une seconde manche et Rohan gagne encore avec "papier".

Ken invoque son Boy II Man

Ken suit alors Rohan jusqu'à une librairie dans laquelle il s'accapare un livre que Rohan voulait acheter. En colère, Rohan accepte de jouer encore et va donne un coup de poing au garçon. Cependant, ce geste compte comme "pierre" et Ken gagne cette troisième manche en ayant joué "papier". Ken peut alors invoquer son Stand Boy II Man et vole alors un tiers du pouvoir de Heaven's Door. Rohan essaie de transformer Ken en livre et d'écrire un ordre sur lui, Ken résiste à la transformation et annule l'ordre car il a désormais le même pouvoir que Rohan. De plus, il a le contrôle du bras droit de Rohan. Rohan apprend les règles complètes du jeu avec Ken et doit jouer pour reprendre complètement son Stand. Cependant, Ken joue "papier" au quatrième round et gagne alors un autre tiers de Heaven's Door. Les jambes de Rohan commencent à flancher car elles manquent d'énergie.

La manche décisive entre Ken et Rohan

Ken se sent très confiant et affirme que sa chance est en ahusse. Avant le dernier round, Ken et Rohan comptent utilisent leurs jeux gagnants, "caillou" pour Rohan et "papier" pour Ken. Cependant, Rohan va trébucher et cela fait douter Ken, qui joue alors "caillou". Rohan est rassuré, mais Ken teste sa chance quand Josuke Higashikata et Joseph Joestar passent avec leur bébé, Ken parie qu'ils vont passer alors qu'il les salue. En effet, Josuke déteste Rohan et veut s'en aller. De plus, en cassant une vitre et en se mettant sous la pluie de débris, Ken ressort indemne et prouve que sa chance est au paroxysme.

Rohan sauve Ken

Cependant, Rohan est toujours déterminé à jouer le dernier round. Rohan joue ouvertement "papier" et Ken veut jouer "ciseaux". Cependant son poing se ferme soudainement et il joue "caillou", et perd la partie. Rohan regagne tous ses pouvoirs. Rohan explique qu'il a pris secrètement Shizuka Joestar, le bébé invisible, et l'a fait fermer le poing de Ken. En colère, Ken prend le bébé en otage et force Rohan à rejouer; cependant Rohan gagne facilement. Rohan s'approche pour sceller le pouvoir de Ken, mais le garçon devient désespéré et se jette sur le chemin d'un camion car il ne veut pas vivre sans son jeu préféré. Amusé, Rohan se jette aussi sous le camion mais celui-ci fait un virage et évite Rohan et Ken (en fait, Yoshihiro Kira s'est collé sur la vitre par accident et a surpris le camionneur). Rohan et Ken sont épargnés. Impresiooné par la chance de Rohan, Ken est convaincu de ne pas abuser de son pouvoir. Cependant, ils doivent maintenant chercher Shizuka car Ken l'a perdu.
