Yasuho Hirose (広瀬 康穂, Hirose Yasuho) est une alliée majeure figurant dans la huitième partie de JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, JoJolion.

Yasuho est étudiante et une habitante de Morioh. Elle rencontre Josuke Higashikata près des Murs qui voient. Elle aide Josuke a retrouver son identité et devient au fil de l'histoire son amoureuse en quelque sorte.

Yasuho devient une manieuse de Stand durant l'histoire et utilise son Paisley Park pour enquêter sur les mystères de la ville.

Apparence

Yasuho est une jeune femme japonaise de 19 ans. Elle est svelte et mesure 166 cm (5 ft 5 in). Elle a des cheveux longs qui lui tombent sur les épaules et qu'elle attachent en plusieurs petites nattes avec des boucles en forme de boules somobres. Josuke estime qu'elle fait 65 cm de tour de taille, 88 cm de tour de hanches, et que sa poitrine fait une taille C.[1]

Sa première tenue est constituée d'un chemisier à col large et à manches courtes. Sa deuxième tenue incorpore un débardeur sans manches avec des roses sur les deux bretelles. Les deux vêtements sont de couleur claire. Elle porte une jupe courte couverte à moitié de roses, des sortes de jambières courtes et amples aux chevilles. Yasuho porte soit des chaussures de marche soit des chaussures de sport avec des chaussettes. Yasuho est malvoyante et a besoin de lentilles de contact.

Yasuho est une jeune femme curieuse à la personnalité plutôt douce qui habite à Morioh.

Yasuho semble avoir une certaine innocence, du moins au début de l'histoire. Lorsque Josuke lui demande poliment de regarder ailleurs pour qu'il puisse tabasser Ojiro pour l'interroger, elle s'exécute sans comprendre ce qui se passe.[2] Yasuho est aussi facilement plus perturbée et effrayée, sachant qu'elle est une personne ordinaire qui est entraînée dans des combats à mort. Yasuho est assez perspicace et a pu débuter la recherche de Josuke en enquêtant sur son chapeau, ce qui les menés à Yoshikage Kira.[3] Elle montre aussi un certain degré d'empathie et de compréhension, car elle a également pu discerner, après avoir découvert des photos de femmes ligotées chez Kira, que Josuke n'était pas le genre de personne à faire une telle chose. Elle a nommé Josuke d'après son chien car il lui ressemblait.

Yasuho a une relation tendue avec sa mère et surtout sa façon libertine de vivre, ce qui créé des tensions entres elles.[4]D'un autre côté, Yasuho idéalisait son père auparavant et après le divorce de ses parents, chérissait toujours les moments qu'elle partageait avec lui. Son attachement était tel qu'une illusion de son père voulant couper les liens avec elle lui lui avait brisé le cœur et l'avait poussé à essayer de se suicider.[5]

Malgré une rencontre insolite, Yasuho développe très vite des sentiments pour Josuke, se rendant rapidement compte qu'elle est excitée de le rencontrer, au point qu'elle pleure des larmes de joie lorsqu'elle le revoit enfin.[6] Il est quasiment certain qu'elle soit simplement amoureuse de lui, et que ce sentiment est réciproque au vue de l'attachement de Josuke pour elle. Il est possible que Yasuho ait encore quelques sentiment pour son ancien petit copain Tooru, avec qui elle a partagé des expériences intimes.

De plus, Yasuho semble avoir une sorte d'amitié avec le jeune Tsurugi Higashikata. Bien que Tsurugi l'ai kidnappée pour le compte de Yotsuyu Yagiyama, Tsurugi est assez attaché à Yasuho. Elle et Tsurugi ont d'ailleurs travaillé ensemble pour enquêter sur le Locacaca et ont combattu ensemble l'homme-rocher Aisho Dainenjiyama.[7]

Au fil de l'histoire, Yasuho s'endurcit et devient plus confiante et déterminée à aider Josuke et combattre les hommes-rocher. Cette maturité s'est fait en parallèle à sa maîtrise croissante de son Paisley Park. Par exemple, Yasuho est intervenue pour sauver Josuke et a menacé d'ensevelir Dolomite sous la boue s'il ne lui obéissait pas. Si au début de l'histoire, Yasuho aidait Josuke sans vraiment savoir pourquoi, elle a su développer sa propre motivation, déclarant qu'en sauvant Josuke au début de l'histoire, elle s'est sauvée elle-même.

Pouvoirs et compétences

Stand

Yasuho possède Paisley Park, un Stand à longue portée qui est spécialisé dans la recherche d'information pour assister les alliés de Yasuho de manière autonome. Paisley Park peut manipuler tout appareil électronique et faciliter les enquêtes de Yasuho.

Yasuho lèche son coude

Sur une note humoristique, Yasuho est capable de se lécher le coude. Bien que celà ne serve pas à grand chose dans le cadre de ses aventures, elle est plutôt fière de pouvoir faire ça.[1]

History

Background

Yasuho est née Morioh en 1992 environs. Elle a passée sa vie dans cette ville et on sait qu'elle fût l'amie d'enfance de Joshu Higashikata pendant un temps. Durant cette période, elle avait aussi un chien nommé Josuke. Ses parents ont divorcé alors qu'elle avait l'âge de 10 ans et elle passait ses semaines chez sa mère et voyait son père les week-end.

Alors qu'elle est au collège, Yasuho achète une pince à cheveux qu'elle trouve très jolie à un vendeur de rue, et pense le mettre le weekend. Cependant, sa semaine se passe très mal alors qu'elle a oublié d'acheter un cadeau d'anniversaire pour une camarade de classe nommée Miko, et toute la classe l'insulte et l'ostracise.

En fait, la pince à cheveux que Yasuho a acheté s'avère être un Insecte-rocher déguisé. Durant la semaine, il pique Yasuho sans qu'elle s'en rende compte pour qu'elle produise une quantité ahurissante de pellicules qu'elle essaie de traiter. Le jour où elle doit aller voir son père, Yasuho ne retrouve plus sa pince et se met en colère contre sa mère, qu'elle accuse d'avoir caché la pince pour qu'elle ne puisse pas montrer ladite pince à cheveux. L'insecte-rocher lui fait perdre la conscience.

Lorsqu'elle se réveille, Yasuho voit son père. A son insu, l'insecte a en fait créé une coquille ressemblante à son père à partir des pellicules. Pour tourmenter Yasuho, l'insecte fait dire au "père" qu'il est tombé amoureux d'une autre femme et qu'il veut quitter Yasuho pour de bon pour se consacrer à sa nouvelle vie. Le coeur brisé, Yasuho essaie de se suicider en se coupant les poignets dans sa baignoire mais heureusement sa mère la trouve.

Yasuho est soignée à l'hôpital, où elle rencontre Holy Joestar-Kira et Yoshikage Kira. Yoshikage lui tend les pièces de sa pince à cheveux, s'excusant pour avoir marché dessus par accident. En fait, Yoshikage avait délibérément tué l'insecte-rocher.[5] Yasuho garde les pièces de l'insecte dans son tiroir.

Au lycée, Yasuho rencontre et devient la petite amie de Tooru. On sait aussi qu'elle a embrassé Joshu une fois.[8]

Yasuho devient élève à l'école des sciences humaines et sociales de Morioh.[9]

Rencontre avec Josuke Higashikata

Yasuho découvre Josuke Higashikata

Yasuho apparait pour la première fois alors qu'elle se cache près des Murs qui voient car elle veut éviter Joshu Higashikata, un ami d'enfance qui est devenu trop collant à son goût. Soudainement, elle voit quelqu'un à moitié enterré près d'une source d'eau qui demande de l'aide. Yasuho hésite et appelle une ambulance alors qu'elle lui demande qui il est, ce à quoi l'homme réalise qu'il ne connait pas son nom. L'homme coule soudainement dans l'eau, ce qui pousse Yasuho à lui prendre la main et à le tirer hors de l'eau. Elle voit alors que l'homme est nu et qu'il a deux paires de testicules. Joshu survient et croit que l'homme est en train de séduire Yasuho. Jaloux, il essaie de le frapper à la tête avec une pierre mais l'homme parvient à battre Joshu avec l'aide d'un pouvoir mystérieux. L'ambulance emmène tout les deux à l'hôpital.

Yasuho est la première personne que Josuke rencontre

Peu après, Yasuho se rend à l'hôpital pour visiter Joshu et l'homme, leur donnant des Dango en cadeau. Alors qu'elle parle seule avec l'homme, elle est amusée par son innocence et touchée par le fait qu'il a perdu sa mémoire et veut retrouver son identité. En examinant son chapeau de marin, Yasuho tient une première piste car ce chapeau vient d'une boutique de chapeaux locale : la boutique "SBR". L'homme insister pour y aller et le duo sort donc de l'hôpital en évitant une policière grâce au pouvoir mystérieux de l'homme. Dans la boutique, Yasuho demande le nom de l'acheteur et ce dernier leur pointe vers un certain "Yoshikage Kira" avec son adresse. Yasuho pense que le nom ne lui va pas du tout et blague en disant qu'il ressemblerait à un "Josuke", car il lui rappelle le chien qu'il avait durant son enfance.

Yasuho et "Kira" vont donc à l'adresse indiquée et entrent dans l'appartement grâce à une clé que le propriétaire avait caché de façon naïve au dessus de la porte. A l'intérieur, une tenue de marin va parfaitement à "Kira", et ils entendent du bruit venant de l'appartement au dessus. Dans la salle de bain, le duo trouve une femme dans la baignoire. Un peu gênée, Yasuho lui demande si elle ne serait pas la petite amie de l'homme mais cette dernière lui demande de l'aide. Yasuho trouve alors un album photo pleines de photographies sordides de la femme ligotée, ainsi que d'un homme qui ressemble bien à "Kira". Dégoûtée et en colère, Yasuho sort de l'appartement en disant à "Kira" de partir de Morioh et de ne jamais revenir.

Dans la rue, Yasuho rencontre deux camarades de classe et refuse poliment leur offre d'aller à un café ensemble. Elle pleure, se sentant dégoûtée et trahie. Cependant, elle reprend son calme et réalise que la personnalité de l'homme et les photos de l'album sont inconsistants et décide de revenir dans l'appartement. Elle revient alors et se trouvé mêlée au combat entre "Kira" et l'homme dans l'appartement au-dessus. Le bras de "Kira" est sous le contrôle de l'ennemi et il est forcée de la blesser en lançant une scie sur sa main, mais heureusement, il est capable de voler la friction de l'étage au dessus avec les bulles de son Stand, Soft & Wet. L'ennemi est forcé de glisser vers le balcon et est capturé par le protagoniste. L'homme vaincu, un surfeur sadique nommé Ojiro Sasame, confirme que le protagoniste ressemble mais qu'il n'est pas Yoshikage Kira et dévoile une photo du véritable Kira, tenant la pose près de la source où Yasuho a trouvé le protagoniste. Ils reviennent donc à la source et découvrent le corps de Yoshikage Kira, qui n'a pas de testicules bizarrement.

Sans autres piste que le corps de Kira, l'enquête est au point mort. Le protagoniste, nommé pour l'instant "Josuke", est adopté par la famille Higashikata pour le moment. Le patriarche, Norisuke Higashikata IV, les emmène chez lui pour introduire Josuke à sa famille adoptive. Après une rencontre mouvementée, Yasuho est éconduite brusquement hors de la propriété de la famille par la bonne, qui lui dit de ne pas revenir et "tenter" Joshu sous peine d'avoir de gros problème. Ceci inquiète un peu Yasuho.

Enquête sur la parenté de Josuke

Yasuho retourne chez elle et voit sa mère soûle, et avec un suçon sur la poitrine. Elle pleure de honte, dénonçant le train de vie de sa mère. Yasuho ouvre alors une lettre d'une agence d'identification ADN qu'elle a contacté pour contacter les ADN de Kira et Josuke, et voit avec surprise que Josuke et Kira partagent 95.8% de leurs génome. Soudainement, Yasuho reçoit un appel, mais le numéro est inconnu et la personne raccroche avant qu'elle puisse répondre. C'était en fait Josuke qui essayait d'appeler à l'aide alors que la cadette, Daiya Higashikata, était en train de voler la mémoire de Josuke. Yasuho revient vers la propriété de la famille Higashikata et croise Josuke et Daiya vers la porte. Cependant, le Stand de Daiya, California King Bed, a déjà volé les souvenirs de Josuke concernant Yasuho et il ne la reconnaît pas. Yasuho se cache instinctivement, confuse. Cependant, Josuke résout vite son différend avec Daiya et ils deviennent des alliés en quelque sorte. Josuke découvre un lien de parenté entre les Higashikata et les Kira et voit que Yoshikage Kira a une mère, Holy Kira, apparemment une ophtalmologiste célèbre qui est actuellement traitée dans un hôpital de Morioh.

Yasuho éveille Paisley Park pour la première fois

Yasuho et Josuke s'appellent et se donnent rendez-vous à l'hôpital. Yasuho y va d'ailleurs pour faire traiter une morsure bizarre qu'elle a à la cheville, ne sachant pas que cette morsure lui a permit d'obtenir un Stand. Le Stand de Yasuho, Paisley Park, va alors essayer d'assister Josuke alors qu'un autre Stand ennemi attaque ce dernier. Yasuho entre dans l'hôpital et parvient à lui parvient brièvement mais constate qu'elle a perdu la raison. Une infirmière la surprend et la force à sortir de l'hôpital. En attendant Josuke, Yasuho ressent une douleur à sa cheville et une autre infirmière la met sur un brancard pour l'amener à l'intérieur. Avec un peu d'astuce et l'aide de son Stand, Yasuho revient près de la chambre d'Holy et entend des médecins parler de sa mystérieuse maladie, notamment le fait que des parties de son cerveau ont tout simplement disparus alors qu'il n'y a aucune trace de chirurgie.

Le jour suivant, Yasuho reçoit un appel en plein cours, voyant que c'est le numéro de Joshu et ne sachant pas que c'était Josuke, Yasuho ne répond pas. Cependant, Paisley Park lui indique l'origine de l'appel dans le passage des chantages, près d'un petit monument local, une stèle à la mémoire de Johnny Joestar, qui était mort là en 1901.

Paper Moon, illusion

Yasuho rencontre Tsurugi Higashikata

Plus tard ce même jour, Yasuho se rend sous le Pin solitaire près des Murs qui voient, et note qu'elle peut voir la source où elle trouvé Josuke et la maison des Higashikata depuis cet endroit. En consultant les archives de journal, elle voit aussi un article qui dit qu'un jeune enfant avait été trouvé sous cet arbre durant la même période où Johnny Joestar est mort. Elle remarque un trou à la base du tronc et s'approche avant que quelqu'un ne la tire en avant, la faisant tomber dans le trou. Yasuho se trouve maintenant dans une salle souterraine pleine d'objets de l'ère Showa (~1937) et c'est là qu'elle rencontre Tsurugi Higashikata, le petit-fils de Norisuke. Tsurugi veut jouer avec sa cocotte en papier mais Yasuho remarque surtout que son portable a disparu et exige que Tsurugi lui rende son téléphone. Elle découvre alors que Tsurugi est un petit garçon qui s'habille en fille à cause d'une tradition familiale pour éloigner une malédiction qui frappe chacun premier-né de la famille Higashikata. Paisley Park apparaît mais part pour prévenir Josuke, qui envoie alors un message à Yasuho. La sonnerie permet à Yasuho de trouver son téléphone sous le tapis, mais le téléphone a été plié comme une feuille en papier et ressemble maintenant à une grenouille en papier. La grenouille lui saute alors sur le visage.[10]

Yasuho sort de la pièce, découvrant alors qu'elle est dans un réseau de tunnels et de chambres souterraines avec d'autres objets insolites placés dedans. Elle revient au centre-ville, suivie par Tsurugi. Alors qu'une passante au visage particulier lui demande la direction d'une station de bus, Yasuho se rend compte que tout le monde a le même visage. Avant de réaliser complètement l'étrangeté de la situation, Yasuho perd ses lentilles de contact en se frottant les yeux et retourne chez elle pour en remettre une nouvelle paire. Elle voit alors sa mère avec le même visage et même son reflet n'est plus le même. Bouleversé, Yasuho fuit à l'extérieur, en larmes.

Yasuho ne peut plus distinguer les visages à cause de Paper Moon King

Le seul qui n'ai pas changé est Tsurugi. Yasuho tente alors d'appeler Josuke et ils se mettent d'accord pour se rencontrer au Café Gomamitsu dans 10 minutes. Yasuho confronte alors Tsurugi et lui ordonne d'arrêter son jeu, mais Tsurugi utilise alors son pouvoir son Josuke et dit qu'il peut toujours revenir chez les Higashikata avec lui si elle veut que ça s'arrête. Yasuho essaie alors de rejoindre le café mais se rend compte qu'elle ne distingue plus les textes non plus et reçoit alors un appel. A cause de son pouvoir, Yasuho ne peut pas distinguer les voix et pense qu'elle a enfin trouvé Josuke, qui est d'autre que Joshu Higashikata, qui a repris son portable des mains de Josuke. Un quiproquo s'installe alors que Yasuho exprime sa joie et que Joshu pense qu'elle fait des avances sur lui. Il la traîne alors dans les toilettes et la déshabille avec son nouveau Stand. Quand Joshu enlève son slip, Yasuho se rend enfin compte que ce n'était pas Josuke et assomme Joshu avec le couvercle de la citerne des toilettes. Sa mésaventure ne finit pas alors qu'elle entre dans une voiture occupée par des voyous en pensant que ce sont des policiers. Les voyous essaient de la droguer mais Paisley Park la sauve en tordant la cheville du conducteur et faisant s'écraser la voiture. Alors que sa mère réapparaît pour s'excuser, Tsurugi revient aussi. Desespérée, Yasuho accepte alors de revenir chez les Higashikata, dans la salle souterraine.

Le but de Tsurugi Higashikata, l'Architecte

Une fois qu'ils se retrouvent dans le souterrain, Tsurugi demande pardon à Yasuho et admet qu'il l'a ciblé avec son Paper Moon King. Yasuho demande alors à quoi sert ce complexe souterrain et Tsurugi révèle qu'il sert à abriter et a traiter les membres de la famille affligés par une mystérieuse maladie. Cette maladie frapperait les premier-nés de la famille et les pétrifie. Yasuho se rappelle alors de la maladie de Holy puisqu'elle a perdu des bouts de son cerveau et sa mémoire, et que Kira a essayé de la sauver.

Yasuho découvre un mystérieux fruit

Tsurugi part. Alors que Yasuho s'endort, une silhouette émerge de derrière une veste accrochée au mur. L'homme, mentionnant Soft & Wet et opine que Josuke n'a pas besoin d'exister. Il tire une feuille de matériau transparent de ses yeux, il couvre le visage de Yasuho et la torture en l'aspergeant d'eau pour l'asphyxier. Yasuho invoque Paisley Park, qui est rapidement maîtrisé et analysé par l'ennemi avant qu'il ne s'échappe. Racontant à Yasuho qu'il les a tous observés jusqu'à présent, l'homme se présente comme Yotsuyu Yagiyama, un architecte qui désire avant tout un statut social, et qui se prépare à tuer Josuke. Cependant, Yotsuyu glisse sur un origami de banane et disparaît.

Yasuho s'endort encore et est kidnappée par Yotsuyu. Josuke parvient à la sauver et bat Yotsuyu, qui meurt noyé dans l'océan. Pour une raison inconnue, Yasuho trouve un bout de fruit étrange dans sa main. Lorsque Norisuke lui dit de partir, elle laisse le fruit derrière elle, ne sachant pas que c'est un indice sur l'identité de Josuke.

Enquête sur le Locacaca

Yasuho et Tsurugi enquêtent sur Jobin et son lien avec le fruit

Chez elle, Yasuho apprend à manier son Paisley Park quand soudain, Tsurugi frappe à sa porte et lui demande de l'aide. Elle se rend secrètement chez les Higashikata avec Tsurugi. Josuje parvient à leur donner les clé de la Lamborghini de Jobin Higashikata et les deux recherchent donc la mémoire du GPS de la voiture. Grâce à Paisley Park, Yasuho voit brièvement d'autres clés de voitures accrochées au mur, puis pirate la voiture. Elle découvre donc que Jobin avait le fruit et qu'il l'a donné à un autre homme : Aisho Dainenjiyama. Quand Jobin et Joshu débarquent soudainement dans le garage, Yasuho et Tsurugi se cachent dans la voiture de Norisuke grâce aux clés qu'ils avaient vu plus tôt.

Yasuho et Tsurugi continuent leur enquête sur Aisho. Ils surveillent l'endroit où Jobin l'avait rencontré depuis le toit d'un immeuble. Yasuho et Tsurugi découvrent après quelques recherches que Aisho est indirectement lié à Yotsuyu, car ce dernier avait participé à la rénovation du stade dans lequel Aisho travaille. Lorsqu'ils voient Aisho, ils envoient Paisley Park dans un portable plié grâce à Paper Moon King pour le surveiller discrètement. Ils voient alors que Aisho a donné un fruit à un vieil homme qui, après avoir mangé le fruit, repousse sa jambe qui avait été amputé. Le téléphone s'approche des restes du fruit mais Aisho le remarque et marche dessus, blessant Tsurugi et Yasuho. Cependant, Aisho donne un coup de pied qui envoie voler le téléphone puis essaie d'appeler Yotsuyu. Cependant, ce dernier ne répond évidemment pas. Inquiet, Aisho essaie d'écraser le téléphone mais Tsurugi utilise son pouvoir pour déguiser son téléphone dans un tas de fausse peaux de bananes, ce qui lui permet de faire s'échapper le téléphone.

Yasuho & Tsurugi chased by Doobie Wah!

Having checked Aisho's access card, Yasuho determines that the fruit comes from inside the stadium. As they both go down the stairs, they are assailed by Aisho's Stand Doobie Wah! hiding in a deadly wind vortex. Escaping the building by a window, they realize that Doobie Wah! is materializing via their breath, forcing them not to breathe as they try to flee. The two try to take a bus away from the enemy Stand but it still materialized out of their breath and attacks them. Yasuho and Tsurugi leave the bus near the Motoyagura train station, and Tsurugi releases a car origami. Soon after both meet a cornered Yasuho and Tsurugi. Recognizing Jobin's son, Aisho demands that Jobin allows him to kill him, but Jobin remains silent. The car origami Tsurugi released comes back to his hand, and Tsurugi explains that he made Aisho confuse any bus with his father. When the bus starts up, it runs over the confused Aisho who is killed and breaks down into dust.

Josuke & Yasuho properly meet again

The next day, Yasuho and Tsurugi analyze the video feed of Aisho's death, realizing the strange nature of the people they are going after and determined to investigate the stadium. They meet Josuke and since Yasuho and Josuke are too happy to see each other to continue the investigation, it is paused for the time being. Josuke and Yasuho stroll on the beach, sharing a tender moment, however Josuke is signaled by another girl, calling for a meeting later. Josuke thus leaves Yasuho.

Later, Yasuho and Tsurugi have a telephonic conversation with Josuke. Yasuho has done some research about Josefumi Kujo and asks why Josuke is interested in him, to which Josuke answers that Josefumi might be his original identity. He then plans to go at Josefumi's house for further investigations and asks Yasuho if he can find a picture of him. However, Josuke's conversation is interrupted when he sees Hato coming back. Yasuho eventually finds a picture and faxes it to Josuke, although the man doesn't even remotely resemble Josuke.

Dolomite's Blue Lagoon

Josuke calls Yasuho for help with tracking down the user of Blue Hawaii. He had left a soap bubble with Dolomite's tooth in it, so Yasuho could use Paisley Park to search medical records and find out whose tooth it is. After finding the tooth, Paisley Park finds a classified document recording an incident where Dorokoma Masaji had eaten 15 of a school's rabbits and another where he had eaten 25 chickens on a farm. She notices some dirt on the tooth, and prepares to use Paisley Park to track down the source of the dirt, but is ambushed by Jobin Higashikata who causes her to pass out from heatstroke using his stand. Jobin then stomps on her phone, breaking it, and tosses the tooth down a grate.

Yasuho finds and corners Dolomite

Yasuho later wakes up but has no way of finding the enemy alone. Josuke, who has been beaten and controlled by Blue Hawaii, now mindlessly walks up to Mutsukabe Shrine. Yasuho spots him and trails Josuke up to Dolomite, whom she attacks with a metal bar and defeats easily since the Rock Human has no limbs. Yasuho goes as far as threatening to push Dolomite into a mud pit, forcing the Rock Human to surrender. Dolomite reveals to Yasuho and Josuke that Jobin was the one who asked him to attack Josuke, also stating that the two have gotten involved in something incredibly dangerous.

Seeking the Plant Appraiser

Yasuho then takes the bus alongside Josuke to meet the plant appraiser, whom she meets earlier than thought when the plant appraiser hijacks the bus they are in, claiming they are under attack and that his safety is the priority. The plant appraiser, named Rai Mamezuku, is suspicious of Yasuho, but she pays him no mind, using Paisley Park to hack the passengers' smartphones and prevent them from informing anyone of what is happening to the bus.

They arrive at a parking lot, and Yasuho is then invited alongside Josuke to Mamezuku's home. The latter cooks a creme Romanoff for Yasuho, and she is pleasantly surprised at the snack. However, her meal is interrupted when a tree sneaks on her, and Josuke has to save her from falling. Nonetheless, Mamezuku tosses her to the ground, exposing her to the enemy's power.

Yasuho facing Urban Guerrilla & Doremifasolati Do

Trying to run to safety, Yasuho is the first to see the face of the enemy. A Rock Human named Urban Guerrilla, encased in his pet Doremifasolati Do, attacks Yasuho again, but Mamezuku stabs Urban and she manages to wash away the swarm of enemy Stand threatening to bore holes into her faces. When the enemy team plunges underground, Josuke jumps down to assist her. Using Paisley Park, Yasuho detects a bedrock area which can serve as a shelter. However, when Doremifasolati Do resurfaces, Josuke learns that his attacks are ineffective and thus Yasuho must flee to the bedrock area with him and is stuck at the top of a boulder.

As her powers aren't useful in direct combat, Yasuho is forced to watch Josuke and Mamezuku battle the enemy and eventually defeat them. After the battle, Mamezuku isolates Yasuho and tells her to go home to safety. However, she begins to narrate her own backstory and reaffirms her will to help Josuke. Only interested in the strange hair clip which tormented her, Mamezuku sends her home to analyze the clip.

Investigating the TG University Hospital

Wu Tomoki attacking Yasuho & Mitsuba

Yasuho watches news footage of the fire at the Higashikata household as she sits in the waiting room of the hospital for menstrual pain and depression. Although she has been reassured by Mamezuku and Josuke, she is nonetheless worried about the stolen Locacaca branch. She then catches a glimpse of Mitsuba Higashikata and her doctor notices that Mitsuba's legs have been turned to stone by the Locacaca. Investigating further, she finds herself under attack by said doctor, Dr. Wu Tomoki, who controls Mitsuba's body. Wu tries to transfer himself from Mitsuba but Yasuho, but in the time it takes him to completely invade her, Yasuho manages to extract the few fragments inside of her acting as a beacon for others and takes the released Mitsuba with her. After Yasuho explains what she knows about the Locacaca and the hospital, Mitsuba reveals that she's just learned that she's pregnant and that she's worried for the child. Thus the two then try to reach the examination room where Mitsuba last recalls her examination. Pursued by Wu Tomoki, Yasuho and Mitsuba manage to get rid of him several times thanks to Awaking III Leaves, Mitsuba's Stand. On their way, Yasuho also meets with her ex-boyfriend Tooru and tells him to tell Josuke where she is headed.

In the examination room, Yasuho discovers a secret tape of Wu Tomoki explaining to the audience the mechanisms of the Locacaca and opens the door to a secret laboratory containing a garden of Locacaca. However, Yasuho notices that the stolen Locacaca branch from the Higashikata garden isn't there. Wu Tomoki suddenly reappears, having taken control once again of Mitsuba by hiding in the Locacaca she eats to save her child. Yasuho must fight Wu Tomoki again, and then during the fight, vials containing deadly diseases are broken. Yasuho returns some of Mitsuba's arrows against Wu Tomoki and purges him out of Mitsuba again. When the doctor tries to scatter the Locacaca fruit and threatens to force-feed them the fruits, Josuke finally comes in and saves Yasuho. Yasuho then explains to the group her findings and she deduces that since Mitsuba was targeted by Wu Tomoki, the branch must have been taken by a third group, Jobin Higashikata being a prime suspect.

Somehow, Yasuho is unable to get a picture of the head doctor

To her frustration, Josuke and Mamezuku nonetheless decide to chase after the last member of the Locacaca Organization: Satoru Akefu, the head doctor of TG University Hospital, who mysteriously has no available picture of himself anywhere. Although Yasuho tries to hack the cameras through Paisley Park, she cannot snap a picture of the head doctor. Even more strangely, unnoticed obstacles keep preventing the group from catching up to the old man. During the chase, Yasuho meets with Tooru again and he flirts with her, causing a mix of suspicion and jealousy from Josuke's part. As Dr. Akefu keeps evading them and leaves the hospital, Yasuho receives a message from Tooru asking her to be with him again. The chase culminates in a car almost crashing into her, although she is saved by Soft & Wet. However, the doctor has boarded a bus and the trio must stop their chase for the time being. When Josuke gets into a fight with a patient whose broken neck snaps in front of him, Yasuho finds herself alone again as Josuke must deal with the authorities with Rai. This allows Tooru to come back and get closer to her as he reassures he will testify for Josuke.

Tooru tries to rekindle his relationship with Yasuho

Yasuho is next shown sitting on her porch with Tooru as she waits for Paisley Park to find Mamezuku and the face of the head doctor. After listening to Tooru's proposal, she is distracted when Paisley Park finds a record of Mamezuku purchasing some goods but loses his trace again. Remembering that she was pursuing Satoru Akefu, Tooru shows her a photo of Akefu's face. However, Yasuho is more shocked to discover that Mitsuba and Akefu are acquainted as she is in the photo too. At the same time, the rain has reached Yasuho's location. Focused on Mitsuba, Yasuho has yet to be affected by the rain. Piecing together the information at her disposal, Yasuho is convinced that Akefu is still looking for the new Locacaca and is targeting Mitsuba. Yasuho thus rushes to the Higashikata House with Tooru as her driver.

She eventually arrives at the Higashikata House and has Paisley Park infiltrate the house in order to find Mitsuba. However, she finds a very ill Tsurugi instead and tries to ask him where the new Locacaca branch is. Before Tsurugi can answer, Jobin grabs the phone Paisley Park has hidden in and throws it in the toilet. Yasuho finds herself in deep trouble as she begins to drown and her signal to Paisley Park is cut off. Isolated from any electronic device to escape in, Paisley Park is unable to do anything. Yasuho gets desperate and tries to get attention by filming herself with one of the cameras watching the estate. Mitsuba sees Yasuho and almost saves her, but Jobin's coercion and the appearance of Satoru Akefu before her changes her mind. Determined to protect her son at all costs, Mitsuba decides to let Yasuho die. Yasuho also sees the head doctor but falls down a slope and loses her right arm. Mitsuba decides to flush the phone further down the toilet but she is interrupted. Nevertheless, Yasuho is in a desperate situation.

Endless Calamity

When the Higashikata Family catches Jobin and Mitsuba trying to drown Paisley Park, Norisuke immediately goes to pick up the phone from the toilet, saving Yasuho. Yasuho begs Norisuke to let Paisley Park escape by letting the phone near any power outlet, but Jobin tries to sway Norisuke to his side, invoking that he is on the right path at the moment to save Tsurugi. Norisuke ultimately refuses to put the phone back and exposes Jobin's crime of murdering Ojiro Sasame, forcing the son to take out his father. In the confusion, Joshu has the presence of mind to kick the phone that Norisuke drops near an electrical outlet, allowing Paisley Park to escape. Yasuho is still heavily wounded and must call for help. Unable to contact either Josuke or Mamezuku despite Paisley Park's assistance, Yasuho must call Tooru and tell him to come. Tooru wants to call an ambulance, but Yasuho refuses and instead asks him to assist with healing herself. Tooru tells her that he's on his way. However, when Tooru arrives at the estate, he ignores Yasuho and awaits for events to unfold instead. Yasuho senses a presence but cannot see Tooru for unknown reasons.

Suddenly, Joshu comes out of the house with the New Locacaca pot in his hands, and declares that he'll save Yasuho.

Relationships

Family

  • Suzuyo Hirose: She is Yasuho's mother. After she and her husband divorce, Yasuho since then lives with her mother in an apartment. Despite Suzuyo being her mother, Yasuho dislikes and is sensitive about her mother's way of living.
  • Father: Suzuyo's ex-husband. Yasuho loved him more than her mother. One day, he appears as a vision to Yasuho, in her youth. Yasuho is at first happy to see him, but then he tells her that he is having an affair with another woman and is more happy with her than with Yasuho. Heartbroken, Yasuho attempts suicide, but is treated in a hospital.

Ex-Boyfriend

  • Tooru: She and Tooru dated at some point around high school, but broke up with him for unknown reasons. It is hinted that Yasuho still has feelings for Tooru. It is unknown if Yasuho ever found out that Tooru was, in fact, a Rock Human.

Friends and Allies

  • Josuke Higashikata: Moved by Josuke's innocence, she eagerly helps Josuke solve his identity crisis. Her involvement in finding out Josuke's mystery often leads her into trouble, such as having been dragged into Josuke's situation with Ojiro Sasame, but that does not stop her from helping Josuke out. There was one time when she saw a photo album of a woman having erotic bondage with what appeared to be Josuke in "Josuke's" apartment, and she bailed out thinking that Josuke was a sadist. However, after thinking more into Josuke's personality, she returned to him and continued helping his search. She is hinted to have also developed feelings for Josuke,[1] as shown when she is tearful when she meets up with Josuke again and the two can be seen holding hands together; she also mentions that she "has someone [she] like[s]".[11]
  • Rai Mamezuku: Despite Yasuho helping Mamezuku investigating Morioh's mysteries such as the Locacaca, Mamezuku cares little to nothing about her. In fact, during the conflict with Urban Guerilla and Doremifasolati Do, Mamezuku pushed her off as a disposable. Later when she told Mamezuku about her past with a hair clip and her ambitions on obtaining the Locacaca, Mamezuku just ignored her story and only showed interest in the hair clip Rock Animal.
  • Tsurugi Higashikata: Although Tsurugi would lecherously lick her from time to time - he's even groped her when they first met - both of them still got along. Their friendship expands when they face off against Aisho Dainenjiyama and Doobie Wah!. Tsurugi often makes implications of him having developed a crush on Yasuho.

Enemies

  • Joshu Higashikata: Although the two were friends at some point, Yasuho would try to hide herself from Joshu. Despite her disliking him, Joshu would continuously chase after Yasuho, and once nearly had intercourse with her in a bathroom when she was tricked by Paper Moon King; he ended up getting knocked out by her. Later, devastated by his family's tragedy, Joshu tries to protect an injured Yasuho during the calamity cast by Satoru Akefu and his Wonder of U.
  • Aisho Dainenjiyama: Aisho tries to use Doobie Wah! to subdue her and Tsurugi.
  • Jobin Higashikata: Jobin knocks out Yasuho when she was trying to help Josuke during the conflict with Blue Hawaii, and later tries to kill her by drowning her Paisley Park in the toilet.

Wall Eyes stage

Yasuho appears as part of the stage hazard and Situation Finish in the Wall Eyes stage.

If one of the fighters is knocked down on the "hazard" indication area, Yasuho backs away in fright, causing Joshu to appear and run through the stage, hitting anyone who gets in his way with a rock until he reaches her. Before Joshu starts his action, her Stand Paisley Park will appear and track Joshu's way.

As a Situation Finish, the losing side is knocked out near Yasuho, causing Joshu to become angry and finish the character off with a large stone (referencing the way he attacks Josuke in their first encounter) as Yasuho appears surprised.

Campaign Mode

Yasuho also appears as one of the characters who can be used on Campaign Mode's profile.

Josuke, le chien
  • Yasuho mentionne qu'elle avait un chien nommé Josuke. En blaguant sur la ressemblance entre le chien et le protagoniste, Yasuho nomme actuellement son nom à Josuke.
  • Yasuho a le même nom de famille que Koichi Hirose et les deux partagent quelques similarités. Yasuho et Koichi sont les premier personnages qu'ont voit dans leurs parties respectives, sont des compagnons proches du JoJo de la partie, et leur noms commencent par le kanji, 康, qui veut dire "paisible" ou "calme".
    • Alors que Koichi et Josuke Higashikata de la partie 4 ont tous les deux des Stands nommés d'après des chansons de Pink Floyd, Yasuho et Josuke Higashikata de la partie 8 ont des Stands nommés d'après des chansons de Prince.
