Doremifasolati Do (ドレミファソラティ・ド, Doremifasorati Do) is a tertiary antagonist featured in the eighth part of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series, JoJolion, specifically in the "Urban Guerrilla and Doremifasolati Do" story arc.

Doremifasolati Do is a Rock Animal and the pet and means of transportation for Urban Guerrilla. Doremifasolati Do aids him in his battle against Josuke Higashikata, Yasuho Hirose, and Rai Mamezuku.

Appearance

Doremifasolati Do is described as a Rock Animal[2] with a caterpillar-like body.[3] Its face vaguely resembles that of a dog or bear with the tongue constantly sticking out. Its head sports several grooves, having deeper grooves extending from its eye-sockets. The rest of its torso is made up of several flat rectangular stones, adorned with designs resembling human arms. These flat stones provide excellent defense from attacks and can be shifted rapidly like tank treads to mobilize underground.

There are thin appendages covering each side of Doremifasolati Do's face,[3] resembling horse blinders. Beside them, it has spiked circular stones which function as wheels.

On each side of Doremifasolati Do's torso are two stones that are topped with spinning rock-like human hands. Doremifasolati Do has a caterpillar-shaped tail that is made up of stones and can also become humanoid legs,[3] allowing it to stand when above ground. Its torso lacks any internal organs, instead being a hollow pouch.[3] This functions as a makeshift cockpit, allowing a person to hide within its body like a shell.

Personality

Doremifasolati Do displays a very low level of intelligence[3] and doesn't exhibit any notable personality traits. It follows Urban Guerrilla and protects him from harm, implying a sense of loyalty and basic intelligence. Aside from this, Doremifasolati Do has yet to show the ability to speak.

It's mentioned that its diet may consist of insects or roots inside the ground, or possibly the dirt itself. It uses its nose to sniff around and tongue to lick objects.[3]

Abilities

Doremifasolati Do can be ridden like a tank and is capable of traveling underground, controlling and shifting any trees in its path. Its primary weakness is water as well as urban or industrialized locations where it is heavily impeded by concrete covering the soil. Its wheels on the side of its face can't break through bedrock, but can finely break soil.[3]

Caterpillar Propulsion: As it breaks up the ground and pushes its way through the soil, the earth and sand fuse with its body and are sent back out behind it. It moves by making the soil itself into a caterpillar track so there are barely any surface-level vibrations and no visible remnants of where it's dug, while also protecting its rider. Its propulsion is fast enough to pass Soft & Wet's bubbles through itself before Josuke can use them.

History

Chasing Rai Mamezuku

Urban Guerrilla & Doremifasolati Do surface

Doremifasolati Do accompanies Urban Guerrilla in their chase after Rai Mamezuku, with Urban encased inside of Doremi. At one point, Mamezuku manages to see them coming and joins with Josuke Higashikata and Yasuho Hirose. The pair follows the heroes up to a ski lift where Mamezuku reside. When Yasuho falls to the ground, Doremi resurfaces to intercept her. Urban tries to expose Yasuho to Brain Storm but Mamezuku manages to stab him and drive him away before Yasuho washes Brain Storm off her with water.

Urban & Doremifasolati Do die

The two retreat into the earth to destroy one of the lift's poles, making Josuke jump down to help Yasuho while Mamezuku is left alone. Thus, Doremi and Urban split, with the Rock Animal pursuing Josuke and Yasuho. Doremi proves to be impervious to Josuke's bubbles and almost gets him, but Josuke uses his bubble to float above the ground. Josuke and Yasuho then reach a great rock on which they jump. Doremi slowly but surely eats at it. When Mamezuku is downed, Josuke jumps to his rescue and Doremi pursues him. Under the ski lift, Urban Guerrilla and Doremi combine again and trap Josuke underneath it. However, Urban Guerrilla is distracted by Josuke and notices too late that he and Mamezuku have pierced a gas tank and cooperated to transport some inside of Doremi. Mamezuku lights a lighter and ignites the gas, making Doremifasolati Do explode with Urban in it.
