High Priestess, Part 1 (
Summary
Polnareff enthusiastically rushes towards the group, excited to share the good news. He reveals to them that Avdol is alive! However the group acts completely nonchalant about it, as if Avdol had simply come back from a paid vacation. Polnareff becomes bewildered, confused as to why no one is shocked by this. Joseph explains that he and Jotaro were the ones to tend to Avdol's wounds back in India, and that Kakyoin decided to not tell Polnareff due to his big mouth, not wanting the enemy to find out about Avdol and ambush him while he recovers. Avdol reveals that his father living on the island was actually him in disguise. He states that he needed to disguise himself in order to buy a submarine, with which they will use to cross the Red Sea undetected.
Within the submarine Kakyoin points out that there are exactly five coffee cups, one for each of them. Avdol uses a looking glass to see that they are approaching the coast of Africa, and states that they will be heading through a sea tunnel and will breach two hundred meters inland. Kakyoin sets down the six cups of coffee. Confused, the group asks Kakyoin why he made six cups. As Joseph picks up one of the cups it turns into an enemy Stand and cuts off Joseph's prosthetic hand. Jotaro tries to punch it with Star Platinum, but the Stand flees and disguises itself as one of the submarine's many gauges.
