Radio Gaga (ラヂオ・ガガ, Rajio Gaga) est un antagoniste tertiaire figurant dans la huitième partie de JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, JoJolion, plus spécifiquement dans l'arc narratif "L'Incident Radio Gaga".
C'est un Organisme-rocher déguisé en garde-fou qui s'attaque à Lucy Steel et à Joseph Joestar alors qu'ils enquêtent sur des disparitions mystérieuses.[1]
Apparence
Radio Gaga est une créature étrange qui a l'apparence d'un garde-fou constitué de deux longue plaque métallique crenelées, l'une entrant sous l'autre et dépassant un peu, le tout supporté par des poteaux de bois.[2] On le compare alors à un serpent. Sa caparace est rigide est dure comme le fer.[2][3] Ses yeux sont camouflés et fait pour ressembler à des boulons, mais ils peuvent s'ouvrir normalement, les "boulons" se fendant comme la paupière d'un animal normal.
Personnalité
Radio Gaga est une créature malveillante qui utilise son déguisement pour leurrer des proies potentielles vers lui pour pouvoir les tuer. Au vue des divers traces et de son attaque, Radio Gaga peut tuer des animaux comme des oiseaux mais s'attaque aussi volontiers aux humains.[2] Le fait qu'il utilise sa voix pour attirer les gens vers lui suggère une personnalité sournoise. On le voit aussi réprimander Lucy et Joseph pour avoir "abandonné" leur chauffeur qui avait été écrasait et semblait mort, les traitant d'ordures, même s'il est le premier responsable en s'attaquant aux humains. Lorsque Joseph contre-attaque avec son Stand et fait rentrer une voiture dans Radio Gaga, la créature préfère s'enfuir en rampant.
Radio Gaga a tendance à murmurer le son "ga ga" (ガガ).
Pouvoirs et compétences
Luring
Radio Gaga a pour habitude d'attirer des victimes potentielles près de lui pour les tuer. Il s'y prend en vibrant sa carapace pour créer des vibrations dans l'air et il est ainsi capable d'imitier la voix humaine, et même une voix spécifique.[2] Cette capacité permet à Radio Gaga de chasser tout en restant sur place et il peut attirer d'autres animaux à lui, comme des oiseaux ou autres. Des témoins disent qu'ils ont vu des victimes se comporter de façon étrange, murmurant "ga ga" puis enlevant leurs vêtements. Cependant c'est en fait Radio Gaga qui murmure, attirant ainsi ses victimes. Le fait qu'elles enlèvent leurs vêtements est en fait une tentative de s'échapper car Radio Gaga les attrape et commence à les tirer vers lui. Les victimes qui se font irrémédiablement attraper se font aspirer et écraser entre les plaques de Radio Gaga.
Body Manipulation
Radio Gaga is capable of controlling the bodies of its crushed victims. The bodies are noted to be barely kept alive.[3] The controlled body is seemingly held by its intestines that stick out from the guard rail's gaps where it crushes its victims. From this, Radio Gaga can mimic human voices. It also uses the body-puppet to extend its grasp and drag in potential victims.
Histoire
Passé
Although its origins are unknown, Radio Gaga is heavily implied to be Toru's "guard dog", placed near the Twin Pines where, in 1941, Toru would be spotted planting Locacaca fruits. At some point, the creature was responsible for the disappearance of a woman, having lured and devoured her, though it's implied that it claimed more human lives. The disappearance of the woman was dubbed the "Radio Gaga Incident" (ラヂオ・ガガ事件, Rajio Gaga Jiken), making the spot it inhabited famous.[1]
L'incident Radio Gaga (1941)
During her time in Morioh, Lucy Steel investigates the location of the orchard where the creature lies, and encounters a young man named Fumi. She hires Fumi as a local guide to the orchard, despite his warnings. As they investigate the Morioh Hunting Grounds, Radio Gaga mimics a human voice to lure in their driver. Lucy and Joseph watch as the driver walks towards it and strips himself naked. Then, as a truck passes by, the creature swiftly snatches the driver and crushes him between its plates.
Next, Radio Gaga lures Lucy towards it. It then snatches Lucy's shirt and tries to pull her in. However, Joseph intervenes, throwing his geta between Gaga's plates to prevent it from crushing Lucy's arm, and then pulling her out. Joseph then carries Lucy, who is suffering from a lung disease, to the driver's car.
However, Radio Gaga uses the driver's body as a puppet and grabs Lucy by the neck. Via the corpse, the creature reprimands Lucy and Joseph for leaving their driver behind. Joseph tries punching the body-puppet away, but the guard rail creature ensnares him by the neck and tries to drag him in. However, Joseph throws his geta sandal at the car trunk and grabs an electrical cord. He then unleashes his Stand ability and produces vines around the cord to turn the car to ignition. Then Joseph makes the car run forward and ram into the guard rail. Gaga now vulnerable, Joseph uses his Stand to pummel it, causing it to break off. Joseph and Lucy then flee, and Radio Gaga, on the ground and now frightened, also decides to flee and slithers away into the tall grass.[3]
