A place for me to test things I don't understand

T-This is... my body's moving on it's own...! There's no doubt about it! This has to be that Parrot's... stand attack!

The unnamed Parrot's Stand is the stand of the Parrot, main antagonist of Crazy Diamond's Demonic Heartbreak, a spinoff manga of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

Appearance

The Parrot Stand's rollers unfurling
The Parrot's stand has the appearance of a mechanical bird, slightly larger than its user. The head is small, with it having tubes protruding out from it, and a large ridge along the top. While its central body is unseen, it appears to have a thin torso with several appendages. These arms have several circular joints which connect to several circular rollers. These rollers can unfurl into long thin strips, similar to a tape dispenser.

The stand's legs are also fully mechanical in appearance, with them starting from the center of one of the rollers. These legs have another roller attached at where a knee joint would be, and they connect to large mechanical talons (similar to that of a large predatory bird)

Abilities

Punch cards flying out of Hol Horse from the Parrot Stand's attack
The Parrot's Stand, while still having an undefined ability, is a devastating long-range stand.

Memory Punch Cards

The Parrot's Stan appears to use punched cards as its primary form of attack. These punched cards are released from the rollers on the body of the stand. They are then punched and inserted into the target, before bursting out of their body through the mouth, ears, and other holes. Their eyes also gain a dimpled texture, with multiple holes appearing in them.

These Punched Cards force the enemy to re-experience past events, such as when it was used on Hol Horse he began to relive his confrontation with Dio. These past events even force people to reenact the event, such as Hol Horse moving to shoot as he did in his confrontation with DIO.[1] This can even be done to those who have not lived through the said past event, as Hiraoka was forced to relive the experience of Wilson Phillips, which caused him to crash his car.[2]

Trivia

  • While no direct connection has been made, the eyes on the Parrot Stand's victims bear a striking resemblance to that of Moody Blues, another stand that revolves around replaying past events.

There was a filthy rubber ball and a right shoe and a pebble. '..........?' But the pebble suddenly started ringing. 'Plu pon pin para para pon plu pon pin para para pon!' It also vibrated.
—Joji Joestar, JORGE JOESTAR Chapter 8: Nero Nero Island

Doppio's Stand is the Stand of Vinegar Doppio, featured in the light novel JORGE JOESTAR. The Stand allows Doppio to turn standard objects into cellphones for long-distance communication.

Appearance

Doppio's Stand does not have any physical form. Rather the stan manifests in physical objects. Examples of these objects include a pebble, rubber band, right shoe,[1] a book (specifically volume 112 of Part 8 of Rohan's Manga Pink Dark Boy), a baseball cap, and a lightbulb, and a human skull.[2]

Abilities

Doppio's Stand is an extremely useful utility Stand. It allows for amazing long-range communication, with some minor combat abilities. The Stand's creations acted as the primary communication item in Jorge Joestar, with them allowing Joji Joestar, Daibakusho Curry and Runbaba 12 to stay in contact with the members of Passione throughout the novel

Phone Creation

Doppio's Stand's primary ability is to turn ordinary objects into portable phones. There appears to be no limit to what he can turn into a cellphone, though larger objects are more difficult to use (as when he used a book as a phone, he had to physically curl it to use it effectively). There also does not appear to be a limit on how many phones he can create at a time, with him having several active at a time. Once an object is turned into a phone though, that quality can not be removed.[2]

These phones' primary feature is to send and receive calls. When a call is sent to a phone, the receiving phone will vibrate and creating an audible ringing noise. A display will appear which allows the receiver to accept these calls.[1] They also have the option of redialing numbers. The phones are capable of connecting through extremely long distances, as it receives a signal in space and also across different universes and parallel dimensions.[3] However, if there is an inconsistency in spacetime then the phones will not work, such as when England gets transported from the first universe to the thirty-seventh universe while within the giant Antonio Torres's stomach.[2]

Doppio can also use his stand for attacks. By turning parts of someone's body into a phone, the ringing and vibrations can cause internal damage. He uses this on Jorge, turning his skull into a phone. The sudden vibrations of his skull ringing incapacitated him by numbing his brain and harming his equilibrium.[4]

Trivia

  • Doppio's Stand is a stand representation of Doppio's hallucinations in Part 5, where he would believe ordinary objects such as a cigarette and a frog were phones. This still happens in the novel, as when Doppio uses a copy of pink dark boy as a phone, he makes a "Tomemememem" sound to mimic the phone.
