JOJODAY is a special event for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: The Animation that was held on April 12, 2025 at 6 PM JST. It was a fan event connecting the past and future of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure animation series.

The event took place at the Yoyogi 2nd National Gymnasium in Shibuya, Tokyo.[1]

Summary

JOJODAY was announced on December 13, 2024. Kazuyuki Okitsu, Daisuke Ono, Junichi Suwabe, and Fairouz Ai, the voice actors of Jonathan Joestar, Jotaro Kujo, Leone Abbacchio, and Jolyne Cujoh, respectively, appeared on stage.[2] The JO☆STARS, composed of TOMMY, Coda, and JIN, also appeared as guests. Kendo Kobayashi was the MC, and was assisted by Atsuko Uchida. In addition, Tomokazu Sugita, Yuki Ono, and Kensho Ono, the voice actors of Joseph Joestar, Josuke Higashikata, and Giorno Giovanna, respectively, made video appearances.[3]

During the event, the voice actor of Muhammad Avdol, Kenta Miyake, made a surprise appearance on stage. Issey Takahashi, the live action actor of Rohan Kishibe, also made a surprise video appearance.

Promotional Events

Jump Festa 2025, which took place at Makuhari Messe on Saturday, December 21, and Sunday, December 22, 2024, hosted a special JOJODAY Commemorative Digital Photo Booth at the Warner Bros. Japan booth. Visitors who took a digital photo received an exclusive JOJODAY shopping bag as a gift. Clear cards were also distributed for free at the booth. To participate in the digital photo booth, a Jump NAVI ticket was required. Participants were able to select from 84 characters to appear alongside them in their photo.[2]

In celebration of JOJODAY, JOJO×SHIBUYA is taking place from March 21 to April 28, 2025, where various stores in Shibuya are holding JoJo-themed events. Starting on April 1, 2025, goods will be sold at MAGNET by SHIBUYA109 on the fifth floor. For every 2,000 yen spent, customers will receive one random postcard out of six available types.[1]

In China, animate stores in Shanghai (Flagship Store and Daxue Road Store), Guangzhou, Beijing, and Chengdu, will be holding JOJODAY pop-up shops from April 1 to 30, 2025.

The 43rd episode of the SHIBUYA ANIME BASE program on ABEMA was a special JoJo-themed broadcast airing on April 11 at 9 PM JST. The show highlighted iconic moments from the entire anime, with Yuki Iwai, Haruna Iikubo, and Tenshin Hantaro each choosing and showcasing their favorite scenes. A "JoJo Quiz No.1 Championship" was also held, featuring a series of difficult questions. Kensho Ono talked with fellow voice actor Shinnosuke Tachibana as well.

One hour prior to the stage event, a talk/variety program called "JOJO SCOOP" was streamed on ABEMA. The cast included Yuki Iwai of the comedy duo Haraichi as the MC and the actress Rika Adachi as the assistant MC. Other guests included the announcer Atsuko Uchida, comedian Gorgeous, and the comedy duo Mamatarte. Daisuke Ono was the narrator of the show. They looked back on the history of JoJo, highlighted their favorite moments, featured a behind-the-scenes report on JOJO×SHIBUYA, and talked about key highlights from the JOJODAY STAGE event taking place after.[4]

JOJODAY STAGE

Tickets for in-person seats at the stage event had cost 9,900 Japanese yen.[1] A paid online livestream was announced on February 14, 2025.[5] On March 1, 2025, they revealed that the stream will exclusively be on ABEMA for Japan residents, with tickets costing 5,900 yen (or 7,100 yen if using the mobile ABEMA app).[3] Those who purchase online tickets will receive an original smartphone and PC wallpaper featuring the key visual.[6] There was also an aftershow talk with the cast, which those who either bought Japanese tickets in advance before March 16 or global tickets were able to access.[7]

A poll was started online on March 9 until March 30, 2025 for fans to vote for their favorite episode out of each season, including all 190 episodes of the anime. Votes were held by going to this link, selecting an episode, and then posting on X with the hashtag #JOJOエピソード総選挙 (JOJO Episode General Election).[8]

ABEMA announced global streaming for the event on April 4, 2025, with tickets available to purchase in 16 regions: United States, South Korea, Thailand, Philippines, Taiwan, Indonesia, Canada, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Macau, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, France, Italy, and Malaysia.[9]

Introductions

The event began with TOMMY performing "JoJo ~The Fate of That Blood~". The MC Kendo Kobayashi and his co-host, Atsuko Uchida, then introduced themselves. The cast appeared in the order of the seasons they voiced in and individually introduced themselves, making references to their characters. After, they talked about how they encountered JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and their thoughts on the series.[10]

VTR Quiz Corner

They played a quiz game with Tomokazu Sugita, Yuki Ono, and Kensho Ono, who appeared on video recordings. The cast on stage guessed the correct answers.[11] Kenta Miyake then made a surprise appearance on stage and joined the cast. Additionally, a surprise video message from Issey Takahashi and a trailer of At a Confessional played.

The History of Games

It was announced that they would look back on the many JoJo's Bizarre Adventure video games released so far and play some of them.[12] However, they only played Heritage for the Future. Kazuyuki Okitsu played the first fight in story mode while Daisuke Ono voiced Jotaro, Kenta Miyake voiced Avdol, Fairouz Ai did the narration and voiced Holy Kujo, and Junichi Suwabe voiced Old Joseph Joestar.

Episode General Election

The results of the episode poll was announced, revealing the most popular episodes from each season. They received 50,390 votes.[13] Expand/Collapse All

Various advertisements and reveals were shown, including: the cover of the May 2025 issue of Ultra Jump, JOJO×SHIBUYA, upcoming Super Action Statue releases and re-releases at Wonder Festival 2025 Summer, a trailer for NOZ COLLABORATION, advertising Last Survivor being available at game centers, the latest Stardust Crusaders Ichiban Kuji releases, a trailer for Mometria, a trailer for S.H.Figuarts, upcoming JOJO WORLD 3 dates, a trailer for THE★JOJO WORLD and announcing that Hirohiko Araki illustrated artwork for the store with 9 characters on it, and a trailer for gumi's JoJo Series New App Game Project.

They concluded the event with a live performance by the JO☆STARS.[14] Coda sang "Fighting Gold" and "BLOODY STREAM", JIN sang "STAND PROUD", and the trio sang "JoJo: The Memories of That Blood ~end of THE WORLD~." The cast and performers thanked the audience and said their farewells.

After they left, the Steel Ball Run anime was announced with a short teaser of the key visual.[15]
